Mudskipper Point is a small peninsula just north of Port Sarim, it is home to the Ice Caves, the Master of Smithing, some fishing spots, the place you must go as a free player to obtain blurite for The Knights Sword quest, a temple, and to some; a great place to hang out at!

How to get there

mudskipmap2.png

Method 1- Walking

Requires: Nothing!

You can Walk there from many, many different places

Method 2- Cabbage Teleport

Requires: Lumbridge Explorer's Ring (3), Completion of the Lumbridge/Draynor Achievement Diary

You can Use a Lumbridge Explorer's Ring (3) to teleport to the cabbage field, Port Sarim and Muddskipper point is just a few short paces away

Method 3- Falador Teleport

Requires: Level 37 Magic

You can teleport to Falador and walk, it can make it a much shorter walk

Method 4- Fairy Ring

map2i.png

Requires: Starting the Quest Fairy Tale Part 2: Cure a Queen

Simply use a Fairy Ring with the Coordinates of AIQ

(Note: This is the most direct route)

Method 5- House Teleport

Requires: Level 40 Magic, Player Owned House In Rimmington

Simply Teleport to your player owned house in Rimmington, it is quite close

Attractions

(1) Ice Caves

00iceless.png

00icelfull.png

The Ice Caves are home to muggers, pirates, hobgoblins, Ice Warriors, Ice Giants, and even skeletal wyverns; this is the only place a free to play can obtain blurite and it is a vital part of the Kinghts Sword Quest, some Free to Plays enjoy training on ice Warriors and Ice Giants for their drops, and some like to train on the hobgoblins with range or hoping for Limpwurt roots. Here there are also Skeletal Wyverns in the very back of the cave, which are very Dangerous.

iceo.png

00prt.png

(2)Thurgo

map3czz.png

Thurgo is the one of the Last surviving of the Imcando Dwarves, these dwarves are master smithers and thus Thurgo is the Smithing Master, the person you'd go to if you wanted to buy a Smithing Cape of Achievement once you reached 99 smithing. Also he has a role in the Knight's Sword Quest, Smithing the blurite sword for you.

(3) Fishing Spots

Spot one:

map4a.png

Spot two:

0fs2.png

Both Spots are "Ocean" and Net/Bait spots meaning that you won't be catching any freshwater catches there, Possible Catches include Shrimp, Sardines, Herring and Anchovies.

(4) Chruch and Graveyard

00crc.png

The Graveyard is small and has a few stones that seem to be vandalized or old; the Church is pretty standard with an altar to recover pray points and little else. Imdedaitley North of the Graveyard are two rat hole and a small summoning obelisk

(5) The Tip Of Mudskipper Point

mudskipmap.png

The Tip of Mudskipper Point holds a fairy ring and a tree or two, its not the most brilliant place in the world, but because of the lack of much of anything and the distance it is from anything even mildly useful it is a common spot to find people hanging out and staged PvP matches occuring.

00useless.png

(6)Mogres

77977273.png

You can Fight Mogres by thowing explosives into fishing spots.

willowc.png

On a side note the peninsula has many normal and willow trees that can prove useful for woodcutting

You don't need Place and Hang capitalized.

It's not totally necessary but it won't hurt either. I know some people will want a guide for it.

This isn't essential, but perhaps put the naming history at the beginning? Introductions/Paragraphs of this nature usually come at the start of a piece, but it's up to you.

Good Idea for a guide since its a cool skilling place not commonly known.

One HUGE guide mistake though! Mudskipper point is south of Port Sarim, not north!

You should also add a section about mogres since they live in ominous fishing spots ( is that how you spell it? ) and Roy's image is not a mudskipper it's a mogre though the thing on it's head is a mudskipper

You should follow this template. Doing so, instead of listing all of your attractions in separate margins, put them all in the attractions sections, number them, then make a map with the numbers on it.

I suppose that's how most city/location guides are made.

City Guides

The purpose of city and locations guide is simple: to give a thorough overview of a location, including the main attractions, shops, people and monsters. Essentially, it's a tour of a specific place in RuneScape.

The following guides are a few examples of excellent city guides:

Dogesh-kaan

Keldagrim

Lunar Isle

Zanaris

Of course, there are many more high quality guides on the site, these are only a few.

All city guides have a particular layout which should be followed:

1. Header: Like in all guides, this is required. See the above section on "Credits" for a template to use.

2. Introduction: A brief introduction to the city, describing its purpose and a main highlight of the city. Two or three sentences is fine, but feel free to write as much as you'd like.

3. "Getting There": This section should detail the main ways to reach the city (teleporting, walking routes, etc.), and should include a map of these routes if possible.

4. City Map: All city guides should contain a city map. Most of the time, this can be taken directly from the RuneScape World Map and then edited to number key locations.

5. Attractions: The attractions of the city. These should be numbered on the city map, and listed in numerical order in the guide. Most if not all attractions should have a picture.

6. Shops: Should include info such as the shop owner, shop stocks and prices.

7. People: At the minimum, this section should contain a listing of all NPCs in the town, along with a picture of him or her. A description of the NPC would be great, but is not required.

8. Monsters: This is more or less the same as the "People" section, and should list all of the monsters (or attackable NPCs) in the city, along with their level and a picture of it.

I fixed some stuff for you, while doing some of the table of contents.

Also, you could fix some of the pictures and add more text by filling this.

Possible Naming History

Many of us might wonder how this point was named, and it is quite a mystery, but however it was named; it's name is the same as a mudskipper (the fish on the guy in the picture's head). My guess behind the naming is that the first poor explorer to discover this place might of found a mudskipper on a Morge (As seen below) living there.

You should really give more info on the mudskipper monsters. I always saw them as the main point of the tip.
