If your favorite isn't there, just post his name.

In my opinion it's Bush, George Walker Bush.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I just realized I didn't say United States president, I kinda forgot.

John F Kennedy, why isn't he up there? I'm surprised you put Obama but didn't put Kennedy. Obama hasn't even completed his first year yet.

If someone votes for Obama I'm going to /stairpalm.

EDIT: my bad, I just saw "JFK".

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to vote for Obama. I don't think it's a rational argument to say that all the evidence indicates him as being the best President ever, even if he will be, at this point. He may be the most influential, but with the Internet, that's not an outstanding achievement. ;) Even in the 1980s, it would be next to impossible for hundreds of thousands of people to learn of, say, Reagen swatting a fly...

I'm going to be a cheeseball and say Lincoln. Feel free to disagree.

Lincoln, Carter, Roosevelt or Lincoln

damn

Sure it is. Look at what McCain did compared to Obama.

Bush is an idiot.

JFK didn't do shizzle.

Obama is a fly murderer.

Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus.

Carter couldn't deal with the hostage crisis.

Roosevelt there were 2 and I don't like things in pairs.

What I'm saying is that a President before the Internet would have no chance of being as influential as Obama unless he was way better than Obama. When you have a Facebook you can influence millions without leaving your bedroom. (Obviously, I'm not saying Obama stays in his bedroom, I'm just saying he has a huge advantage over all 19th and 20th century Presidents.)

Bush Jr.

He was entertaining and probably one of the best and possibly smartest politicians to ever live.

WHAT BUSH SMART?!!!!

Yes, The ability to manipulate masses of people into believing in causes and opinions as obsurd as his own shows an amazing level of intelligence. As for being the best politician, Politics isn't about making people happy it's about putting yourself into a position where you can benefit your quality of life the best and make changes in order to better that quality.

Also as i said it was entertaining to watch him control rednecks and i always loled when he said jesus.

That manipulation and control came through his subordinates though. Bush was merely the puppet, you need to look behind the scenes to find the puppet masters.

I predict rapid flame approaching this topic from the West.

I think Charles De Gaulle was the best president. ;)

Sadly, this topic is only about American presidents.

Cheney was the real politician behind Bush, a true evil genius without the public charisma to be a national figure. And Meidou, if that's your attitude on politics, than I'm not sure you're any more qualified to vote than many politicians are to lead... No offense, but that cynical attitude is exactly what allows the corrupt sector of politicians to take advantage of people. Just like Benjamin in Animal Farm (by George Orwell for literature neebs), who probably could have averted the totalitarian dictatorship of Napoleon, but who was too cynical and fatalistic to bother spreading the word of the ill changes he smelled.

Tis why i live on a small island in the middle of nowhere ;)

I observe and laugh at the politics of your American culture and that cheers me for a few minutes a day until i move onto other things. (and sometimes feel bad because i do have a heart  )

EDIT: I lived in Canada until the end of this University year just so you know.

EDIT2: I don't know what the relevance of my first edit was tbh but w/e.

The next time I hear 'JFK was the best president ever', I'm going to punch someone in the face. Even calling him a good president is a lie. He was a hella B.A. dude, sure, but all of his attempts to achieve something failed (see: Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam - yes, he set us up for 'Nam).

I'll go with:

Washington

Jefferson

Lincoln

T. Roosevelt

FDR

Truman

Eisenhower

Nixon

Richard Nixon wasn't super-duper-fantastic, but he made quite a few grand achievements that are sadly forgotten by the general public. Because of this, I am a proponent of Tricky Dick.
