Watched 3 games: Denmark x Sweden, Portugal x Hungary and Argentina x Peru.

Denmark won 1-0 and Portugal won 3-0, Portugal's next match is against Malta if I'm not mistaken so I think it's safe to say we qualified. :box:

Argentina beat Peru 2-1, was one of the most exciting matches I've watched in a long time! At the 90th minute Peru scored and poor Maradona nearly had a heart attack, then at the 93rd minute Argentina scored again! Even though I'm not exactly the biggest Argentina fan I jumped off the couch and shouted a very loud GOOOOOLOOOO! ^_^

Drat. I don't want Argentina to be at South Africa, and I don't mind Portugal as long as Ronaldo isn't included.

Why not? A World Cup without Argentina is like a pornographic movie without breasts - most probably duller and less interesting. :wizard:

Mostly the fact that they have Maradona as their coach >_>

Who I dislike.

Too True. I still remember the world cup in 2000 when I was 6, laughing when we beat them 1-0, a David Beckham penalty :).

Yeah, he's pretty crazy and egocentric.... He was a good player, but besides that, he's just crap in anything else.

USA USA USA USA

3-2 says we're in the Cup for the sixth time in a row muthafudgazzz

I went to see that match in the Stadium :box:

We hadn't lost in Honduras in ages ^_^

You have no clue how noisy the stadium was when we scored the first goal, and how quiet it became when you guys scored the third... Now we're forced to defeat El Salvador in El Salvador...

Raide, ahora si apoyas a tu seleccion? jajajaja

PS: you have no clue how much people were insulting Pavon (our captain) when he missed that penalty either :wizard: even I threw in a couple insults... I couldn't believe it, I still can't...

ni vi el partido

asi que podria decirse que no

esperare que se enfrenten a un equipo que sea mejor que el salvador y si juegan bien, aunque pierdan los apoyare

Maradonna sucks

Pele ftw

I'm a huge Arsenal fan :wizard:

Depsite a couple of early losses in the season, there just seems to be something 'great' about the team at the moment. Got some quality players like Fabregas, Arshavin, Vermaelan, Van Persie, and sometimes Eduardo :box:

On the topic of the World Cup though, I am supporting Spain. I just love the way they can play and they too have some great players.

Wha? Jose Mourinho isn't the epitome of a screwball?

"Football is football, but to you, it is a different football."

That's not an Engrish moment, that's someone who has no common sense.

HONDURAS IS IN THE WORLD CUP! We hadn't been there since 1982 :wizard:

We barely got in though, and I'll never thank you gringos enough for tying with Costa Rica, which allowed us to pass through instead of them :box:

Actually, that's a "I wish I could tell you to go [] yourself, your mum, your sister and your dog" moment. Since he arrived in Italy he's been pressured so hard that it's surprising that he hasn't already murdered someone live. Hell, I wouldn't find anything wrong with him telling at least one journalist the passage in quotes.

And about Engrish, you've never heard Trapattoni speaking in English, or German, or Italian (!). He's bloody hilarious, but that makes him even MORE of a god.

Heck, Maradona *LITERALLY* told the journalists that they can go suck - ahem - lollipops.

Lol @ Italy - Cyprus. Cyprus (!) was leading (!) two-nil (!) after sixty minutes and it took one major tactical screwup from Cyprus (and, actually, a quite dramatic loss of athletic form) to make Italy come on top 3-2. And they were playing in Italy. And the Italian coach was angry because the spectators were booing. Excuse me? It's already enough that they didn't invade the pitch and kicked each and every player in the balls (yes, I'm aware that it was largely a reserve team, but come the h*ck on). Wtf, man. Somebody's arrogance needs one hell of a tweak.

JOOOOOOSEEEEEEE! I'D MARRY MYSELF IF I'S GAY!

Sorry for that, but I didn't think SWP was on fire, far from it. He rather lucked out on the goal tbh. Crouch was good though. I felt bad for Milner (my favourite player in the England squad, coming from him going on loan to Swindon and I was there for his first goal for us :wizard:) when he thought he'd scored but it came out the inside of the post and off. D:

edit: Also I think Crouch would only get MotM for his 2 goals, whereas Beckham, alongside Rooney, just has the flair needed to bring to the role and it really turned the game from really boring to half decent when he came on. When he came on against Croatia basically every England supporter was up on their feet, it was electric. That is what he brings to the team which noone else does.

We think similarly ^_^

I support Arsenal and always have.

Really looking forward to the World Cup - I want England to win, but realistically I'm rooting for Spain, just like I did for Euro '08.

I've loved anything having to do with italy since 3rd grade. Forza italy! Plus, the greatest player alive is on the team: Gian Luigi Buffon

Nononono, greatest player alive = Fernando Torres.

To be honest, I support Torres more than I support Spain.

Arsenal fans seem to be the more loyal out of the top 4. In Euro 2008 I rooted for Germany (:wizard:) but in any tournament with England I watch the other games, but don't want anyone else to win.

Torres is nowhere near the best player in the prem, let alone alive!

Lets face it, Torres is nothing without Gerrard for Liverpool really, whereas the likes of Rooney can plug into any team fairly well.

There isn't ever a best player, just who's performing well. In October 2005, Ronaldinho was apparently 'le crème de la crème' but look at him now. Good, but nowhere near the top.
