I also had a few embarrassingly bad Day 1 misreads.

1) Rene : Town, either vanilla or doctor.

2) Fencefry: Town with vote deficiency, not sure if he has ability to compensate.

8) Emanick : Hardcore town power role

It's not anything. Really there's no reason for people to be offended by anything that is said in or in regards to a mafia game. It has no bearing on actual opinions (as far as I can tell).

 

And as I said, I really don't think there's anything that bad in it. Early game we kind of talk down about Click This and Morte, but that's about it. (Not to mention I give Morte a ton of respect for endgame anyway.)

Cameron's last mafia game in the DM boards was and still is my all time favorite.

It wasn't that complex. There were a group of masons and a group of scum fighting for the souls of Salem (based off The Crucible by Arthur Miller) or something of the sort. Turns out Abigail was the real criminal, and she had one daykill and only received one automatic vote per day against her, cumulative, when lynched. The Mafia got eliminated on like Day 4-5, and us masons had such superb communication (with a little bit of help from Sryen's inventions :) ) that we were easily able to pin down Abigail with no casualties to ourselves. Almost the whole town got massacred but the masons all survived. :)

Which was ridiculously lucky, considering should even one of the masons be killed it severely impacted the game. If a mason died for whatever reason, the town would be split into to seperate topics and you could only communicate with those in your topic.

 

I actually just read through most of the game again. It was tons of fun.

 

I can't believe that none of the masons died! That made the game so incredibly easy for the town.

 

It really wasn't quite as complicated as it sounds - I explained it all pretty thoroughly through flavor text. It was fun.

Yeah, maybe beginning next year. Newbies jumping into mechanic heavy games may get discouraged when they should really just play some simple games to get a feel for it.

 

Although it is nice that a lot of newbies have joined the recent few mafia games. It was getting weird that every mafia game lately has consisted of mostly the same people.

 

I can't believe that none of the masons died! That made the game so incredibly easy for the town.

Out of curiosity, in the mason topic one of them mentioned that at that point if one of them died, it could've ended up being two of them in one house, and myself and Egghebrecht in the other house, as well as no house leaders left alive. What would you have done in this case?

I'm glad that I finally got the chance to participate in a proper Mafia game. -.- My only previous experience is from a game nearly 5 years ago on some different boards that died about halfway through. The other games are an entertaining watch.

Oh I totally deserved anything you threw at me early game, I did give an incredibly stupid reason for my random vote And I wasn't contributing much either.

I thought I was done for so bad, until I realized that usually people yell for help when they see a fire, so I tried to build on that: Ie get enough "yells" of fir would bring in the DK
