So yesterday night, I was under the pressure of having to deal with some dick head at school who I really wanted to punch, and the fact that I had been given like 10 assignments to do in a night since I had been sick for 2 weeks. I got really frustrated had a scrap with my sister over a white board marker  then I got really pissed off, locked my self in a room and got all shizzly. The best thing for me was to lash out and go into the garage and punch the boxing bag, but I feel there must be a better way.

Is there any way to relax while under stress? I had, had a early start 6am rugby training, then I had rugby again that afternoon. So I was probably over tired aswell. I then had to sleep it off but that just meant I got absolutely no assignments done.

Help Pl0x?

Music is my personal favorite, no health risks involved and it gets the job done nicely.

I wont jump to any conclusions, but if that was directed at where i think it was directed at - exercise more, this will mean something if that was the case. If not then ignore it.

Smoke a blunt.

Nothing illegal or stuff bad for your health pl0x

Incoming debate about how weed can be beneficial to your health. *ducks*

Punching things have always calmed me down. You punching your punching bag was a pretty great idea. But really, just sit down, play some RS/watch TV, and relax for awhile. Clear your mind, put your priorities in order. Well, at least that kinda thing has always worked for me...

Do what relaxes you. If you find an activity relaxing you'll be able to concentrate more immediately afterwards as opposed to when your agitated.

It comes down to the individual. For example I wouldn't watch tv to relax just because it irks me to no extent, so I prefer reading, coding, cooking or just old fashioned taking a nap.

Stress is a cause of our natural fight or flight prgoramming. In the old days when we were in a stressful situation to deal with stress we'd either run away from whatever was troubling us, or fight it (which is why people sometimes wet themselves when they are scared, it makes you lighter so you can run faster).

Sadly these days stressful situations arent physical, they are exams, money and work problems, and our body wants to fight or run away but we dont, which leaves loads of hormones and adrenaline pumping around our bodies with no outlet.

So tbh, what you are doing is the right thing, that or go for a long run. When you have it all out of your system go and read a book, or have a quiet bath or listen to some calming music.

Whatever floats your boat. It's the easiest and most efficient method, though.

I go in my room, listen to the radio, lie in my bed, punch the wall/pillows or read.

Go outside, run a block, preferably sprint.

You won't have the energy to be stressed up anymore, trust me.
