gpw Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 (edited) I completed floor 6, and since floor 7 wasn't available (didn't have Dungeoneering level 13), I pressed the Reset button and went to floor 1. Accessed six rooms of the dungeon, ending up with two locked doors (silver wedge lock and purple crescent lock). But the only key in all six rooms was a yellow rectangle key. There's no door requiring a yellow rectangle key, no puzzle room to move on further in the floor, and no way to open either the silver wedge lock or the purple crescent lock. Has anyone else found an unsolvable floor in Dungeoneering? Edited August 2, 2010 by gpw
MFI Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Nope, I've never seen that - Have you checked all over the floors of the rooms?
gpw Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 Nope, I've never seen that - Have you checked all over the floors of the rooms? Yes, I did. I gave up on that dungeon in the end. Went back to Runescape later, and started a new one.
Net Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 When this happens to me, I just end up re-searching every single room for the missing key. I am completely sure that the key was under a drop pile after you killed a monster and you didn't notice it. You're probably going to say that you did search every room but no matter how many times this happened to me, there was always a key. The only time I had impossible rooms when the level requirement to open it was too high, even with the best pot bonus.
Rhasputin Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I hate to bring up a slightly old post, but this EXACT same thing happened to me. Completed 6, couldn't go to 7, restarted, and the first level was missing a key. It simply was not there. There's got to be something to this, there's no way it's a coincidence. . . right?
Fangy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 You probably didn't notice a key on the floor or you didn't notice a door in one of the rooms. I've done both.
Rhasputin Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 There was a door that needed to be repaired, but I was not high enough level to do it. Would this be what happened? Or would they not put an important key behind a skill door?
Jacky Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 There was a door that needed to be repaired, but I was not high enough level to do it. Would this be what happened? Or would they not put an important key behind a skill door? If no one in your team has the level required for that door, it would be called a bonus path, meaning it will not help you get to the boss. I've never went a dungeon where I've searched everywhere and there isnt a key. At low levels such as 20 dung, it can be seen why you miss keys.
Dei Wei Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 The only a time a dungeon can't be finished (killing the boss) is when someone leaves so the puzzle room or skill door can't be done without them.
Guest Crow Verac Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Look closely underneath the Smuggler. Sometimes there is a key hidden underneath of him.
