heb0 150 Posted September 19, 2010 Prog Folk Symphonic Prog Progressive Metal Thrash Metal Progressive Death Metal Technical Death Metal Post Rock Post Metal Some Rap Proto-Prog That doesn't really tell much, though, because I have artists/bands that I love in all those genres, as well as ones that I completely hate. So it's kinda a mishmash of all of those as well as some random other genres.
Naota 1 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) I've recently found my lost love for The Pillows But my favorite genre of music is pretty vast. I tend to avoid terrible main stream music like Lil Wayne, Lady gaga, and who ever else is on MTV. Jellijelli 0 Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) My preferences are pretty narrow. Opeth In Mourning Dark Tranquillity Dream Theater, not as much now BTBAM Cynic Sonata Arctica Mahler (6th, 8th, 9th symphony - probably one of the best pieces of music I will ever live to hear) Tchaikovsky (assorted) Other random concertos and chamber pieces. Other random pieces of music, typically neoclassical or similar People usually give me strange looks when I tell them that I listen to both Classical and Death Metal. Bob-sama 89 Posted September 23, 2010 Started with Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, and Queen. Moved more towards AC/DC and Nirvana and then towards Scorpions. That mutated into The Beatles, then Dire Straits and later into Bad Company. Following that came John Gorka and Birdie Busch, which became Tift Merritt and Mark Knopfler. I took a step back towards Black Sabbath and then a few forward towards Don McLean and Amilia K. Spicer. I've also gone towards Dave Mathews Band (live recordings, naturally) and around to others like Eskobar and The Perishers. Right now, I'm listening to just about anything that sounds good to my ears.
