Kwinten 24 Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) Anything along the vein of blink 182? http://www.last.fm/music/blink-182/+similar I hate 'recommending' bands like these so I'll just recommend Last.fm. Great to find similar bands and music recommendations. Edited April 2, 2011 by Kwinten
Ramon 48 Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) Has anyone listened to Sufjan Steven's The Age of Adz? It is an electronic/orchestral masterpiece. Edited April 2, 2011 by Ramon
Hyrax 22 Posted April 2, 2011 Has anyone listened to Sufjan Steven's The Age of Adz? It is an electronic/orchestral masterpiece. Love it. Not my favourite Soof, but it's certainly a winner. Good to hear more of the sounds he explored on Enjoy Your Rabbit.
Plasma 46 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) I urge everybody to listen to Gonjasufi. His A Sufi and a Killer LP is one of the most amazing things I've heard in recent years. It trancends genre but effortlessly blends elements of hip hop, jazz, funk, soul, electronica, rock, punk, psychadelic, experimental, blues, et cetera. If you're into hip-hop, electronica, breakbeat, chillout, psychadelica, experimental stuff and something a bit different, get this album NAO! If you like Tom Waits, George Clinton, J. Dilla, Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Bonobo, Four Tet, The Kinks, whatever, get this album NAOOO! The sound is very hard to describe but check it out and if you like it, you'll love it. Here's a few tasters; give them all a listen, one is not enough! Gonjasufi - She Gone. Gonjasufi - SuzieQ Get a load of that! I listened to all of those songs, and others of Gonjasufi's, and I have to say that his music is like something that I've never heard before, and it's all amazing. Has anyone listened to Sufjan Steven's The Age of Adz? It is an electronic/orchestral masterpiece. Listening to it right now; so far it's pretty good. I can't decide which one I like more; old Sufjan Stevens or new Sufjan Stevens. They're both completely different, which is what makes it so hard to decide. is my favorite of his older music. Siemon 10 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Not my usual style, but I really like Avril Lavigne's new album Goodbye Lullabye. Kinda mainstream, but soft-ish rock. For the dubstep fans, what do you think of Kinda soft, slow intro, but I like it (especially as I liked the original song). Fencefry 0 Posted April 6, 2011 First of all, check out La Blogotheque's youtube series A Take Away Show. They literally have hundreds of videos of famous indie bands playing live in odd places all over France. I'm sure several of these have been listed before, but I haven't recently, so no way of knowing: (Pretty folky with some indie and country influence) The Tallest Man On Eath (A must for Dylan fans, along with music fans in general) Liz Janes (Pretty soulful female vocalist) (Whole new album is excellent) Also been listening to Wilco (mostly Hotel Yankee Foxtrot) and Bon Iver a lot more, despite them having no fresh stuff. Kwinten 24 Posted April 6, 2011 Anyone else like the band Helloween? I'm not too fond of power metal, apart from metal gods Dio and Judas Priest, but I kinda like Helloween. Although there are some things in power metal that keep annoying me. It's too over the top sometimes.

That song is about the guy's dad D: I know that but that doesn't mean his flow isn't ridiculous in that song. Lessons is good too, completely owns the rap industry throughout the songs. Friggin' awesome. Edited April 7, 2011 by Demon Jelly
