Fake Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Did anyone else find the commentary really funny? I was laughing everytime they spoke, especially Kenny Smith. "Hey what type of shoes are those?" "I don't know, do you Kenny?" "Yeah, they're runner up shoes." I was laughing forever at that one. Quote
Doom Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 "So blake how has Kenny helped you with your dunk?" "well, he didn't really do anything" Quote
Darkking5778 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) Do you think the Knicks or the Nets will get Carmelo? Do you think the Knicks and the Nets are giving up too much for Carmelo? Do you think its worth it if the Knicks give up Danilo, Raymond, Chandler, Curry, and a 1st round pick for Carmelo and Billups? Do you think that with Billups and Carmelo the Knicks will do better? I think the Knicks should trade and get Billups and Carmelo to be a better team. Also then the Knicks will have there own big 3 with Amare, Billups, and Carmelo. :D Edited February 20, 2011 by Darkking5778 Quote
Whiskas Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) I just want to ask... what's this? I'm intrigued as to what you're talking about. EDIT: Please ignore this post. :D Edited March 6, 2011 by Whiskas Quote
William Howard Taft Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I don't give a shizzle. Things like 'Melo-drama are what's wrong with pro sports today. Quote

I think the Knicks should trade and get Billups and Carmelo to be a better team. Also then the Knicks will have there own big 3 with Amare, Billups, and Carmelo. :D Well at the moment, the Knicks are offering Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry. That's like their entire team minus Amar'e. Even if the Knicks do get Carmelo for that trade, I don't think it would be good because they would lose a solid part of their team. With Amar'e, they went from being .354 to over .5(as of now). Seeing Carmelo in New York without giving up all of those people would be great, but I don't think it's going to happen since Denver is asking for more than what New York is already offering. I feel bad for the guy. They kept asking him about it during all-star weekend and the guy just wants to chill. Quote
guapanese Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 cant wait to see the west bslap the east Quote
Doom Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 ahahah dwights intros to the east Quote
Micael Fatia Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I support Benfica but Basketball isn't very popular here in Portugal so our team is pretty bad. :D I try to watch NBA games as much as possible and Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are my favourite teams. Quote
Lunar Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 The east almost came back because they started playing real basketball. I mean come on who does that :D. Quote

Mr Summers Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Melo to the Knicks. Can't wait to see him play with Amare. They got Billups too, great acquisition. Quote
guapanese Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 everybody knows billups doesnt want to play for the knicks ny overpaid lol front court of melo amre and turiaf in the dantoni system?? lol expect them to give up 200 points a game Quote
Mr Summers Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Melo and Amar'e are two serious point-getters with a lack of defense - no doubt. Now put them in a system with a coach who doesn't know how to spell defense, and you have a high scoring team that will sell merchandise. Hell, that's all they really care about up there in NY. Only reason I follow the Knicks (and Suns last year) is because of Amare. Great player. Mozgov is a stiff, Danillo is ok, but he's not Carmelo - at this point Felton for Billups is perhaps a down-grade, but remember that Billups is a placeholder for them to take a shot at Deron/CP3 after next season. Looking at this and the other teams - the NBA just seems like a farce. Quote
Pig Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Knicks got gypped. They lost a borderline allstar PG in Felton, a cheap quality C in Mozgov, Gallo and Chandler (who were doing very well in the D'Antoni's system), Curry's expiring contract, draft picks, and cash. All they get in addition to Melo is an old Billups (downgrade from Felton) and some nobodies. That gutted roster isn't going to make the Knicks an elite team. Quote
Mr Summers Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 To be realistic I think the Knicks will only pass the first round but its better than anything they would have imagined last season. This is looking like a Suns 2.0. Quote
Fake Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I feel bad for the guy. They kept asking him about it during all-star weekend and the guy just wants to chill. Kobe had to save him. As for the Melo trade. The Knicks might have given up to much but Melo is a really good player. Quote
guapanese Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) knicks mightve gotten worse lol the little teams stay taking shots at the throne Edited February 22, 2011 by WOLFALEC Quote
Doom Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 http://www.nba.com/2011/news/features/davi...ls=iref:nbahpt1 So the knicks got melo along with billups and some others. But they basically gave away half their team. Despite that, this should be good because now you have these two dominant forwards and billups Quote
guapanese Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 lol goodluck to NY trying to get quality role players with the new CBA Quote
The Truth Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 What was Utah thinking sending D-Will to the Nyets for Harris Favors some picks and some money? West is losing its power Denver will at best be 8th seeded Utah wont make playoffs. Quote
Doom Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 Out of all of the most recent trades, I really think the Thunder and the Knicks got the best deal out of all of them. Perkins should be a great addition to the thunder as a new post player(which they needed). And of course, melo and billups should do great in new york. Quote
Kush Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 You guys are idiots for saying the Knicks got gypped. Quote
