Fake Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Knicks almost went to overtime after a 15 point lead, :D. Glasses got the win but still upsetting. Quote
Lunar Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 What is up with the Blake Griffins beating good teams? Quote
Doom Posted March 11, 2011 Author Posted March 11, 2011 Being a Laker's fan, I was obviously disappointed. :D It was a very close game the entire time with the highest lead being 6 by the lakers early on. It switched back and forth a lot. I think Wade really made a difference. He drove to the basket a lot and his athleticism allowed him to make some very hard layups in the paint. Quote
Lunar Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Ahh the big 2.5 won, it did turn out to be exciting though. Lakers couldn't hit anything 2nd half so they definitely would have won if they could hit 1 basket a minute ;_;. Quote
Fake Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Lakers played a good game but the referees really came back and pulled through for the heat! :D Quote

If you saw the game it was pretty obvious that Wade lifted the Heat near the end. Bosh, however, was really the key for Miami early on while Wade and Bron were shooting poorly. Kobe's shot selection and Pau's terrible D killed LA also. Â Good statement win by Miami today but they probably won't go too far come playoff time. With Haslem back they won't be at such a size disadvantage against teams like Boston (who also lost their best post defender in Perkins) but IMO they have too many issues with coaching, chemistry, etc. The L obviously doesn't matter much to a team like the Lakers; I'd say they're still a lock for making the WCF. Doom Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) I've been surprised with the Celtics lately. Even after giving up Perkins, they shouldn't be losing to the clippers, sixers, and nuggets. Â I think the Laker's should be fine this year. I just hope Kobe's ankle injury isn't too bad. It sounded like it could be something that might last awhile where he'll play through it though. He really needs to take some time off to have his injuries fixed up a bit. He almost never sits out of games and almost always plays through injuries, which really doesnt help considering he went 6-20 that game. Â edit: so far miami/sa is 81/65, disappointing. :D Edited March 15, 2011 by Doom Quote
Fake Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) I'm so happy that Lakers are going in right now. What is it now, 16 wins out of their last 17 games? San Antonio is losing (4 games in a row) so Lakers have a chance to seize the first place trophy. I'm happy that the Knicks managed to end that 6 game losing slide and have won 2 in a row. Sad that we have to go down the wire with the Nets. Edited March 31, 2011 by lilshu Please don't report for bumping. I will allow it this time!@ lilshu Quote

Sad that we have to go down the wire with the Nets. Well they lost to the Nuggets, which isn't extremely surprising since they're actually a very solid team now. The jazz game was very close but kobe let the ball slip with 5 seconds to go :D They're definitely not going to get ahead of the spurs in the standings. There's the chance they could slip ahead of Chicago is they win their next 5 and chicago loses a few. Quote
Mr Summers Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 My predictions: Â Â San Antonio 4 - Memphis 0 Oklahoma City 4 - Denver 2 Dallas 3 - Portland 4 LA Lakers 4 - New Orleans 1 Â Chicago 4 Indiana 1 Orlando 4 Atlanta 1 Boston 4 New York 3 (FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, Knicks are disappoint) Miami 4 Philadelphia 0 Quote
Doom Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 being a lakers fan, i really hope that the blazers get knocked out first round by the mavericks. Â jason kidd did really well in the first game with his 6 threes and his last 3 really sealed the win. Dirk didn't play as well though. Â I'm really interested in boston vs ny, denver vs okc and dallas vs portland right now. Portland and okc could end up being threats to the lakers if they keep going. Quote
Lunar Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Lakers are my team :D. Â Im Predicting San Antonio 4 Memphis 0 OKC 4 Denver 2 Portland 4 Dallas 2 (Portland is so underrated its not even funny, but I want them to lose) Lakers 4 New orleans 0 Chicago 4 Pacers 2, they put up a big fight for the game today, wouldn't be surprised if it went to 7 games Atlanta 4 Orlando 2 (unless they can get their act together, I mean dwight howard had his way with them and they still lost) Miami 4 Philadelphia 1 (As much as I want to see the heat lose in the first round, it just isn't going to happen, but the 76'ers really put up a good fight today) Quote
Rush Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 As long as the Heat don't win, I will be satisfied. Quote
Doom Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 This years series is actually going to be great. There's no clear cut winner for either conference. In the west, the thunder, lakers, spurs, mavericks, and blazers are all very good and competitive teams. In the east, you have miami, boston, and chicago. It should be a very exciting series. I could tell the lakers definitely upped their intensity in the 1st game despite the loss. However, they cant keep playing kobe 42 minutes a game like they just did. Quote
Lunar Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Portland is currently disappointing me. Â Hoping atlanta really beats the magic, and besides the lakers and portland/mavs I really am not concerned about the other series, as long as it is a good game to watch. Quote
Doom Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 A little disappointed that the lakers are tied, since I thought they'd go 4-1. Hopefully they'll get through the first round and do a little better against other teams. Â Memphis I feel might actually beat San Antonio. The games have been very close. Quote
Lunar Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Yeah, but to be fair, Paul put up a triple double. When someone does that it would be a shame for that team to lose. Quote
Doom Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Jesus memphis is dominating. Â I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the western conference finals. I think it'll end up being Lakers vs Memphis and Boston vs Chicago in the east. Quote
Mr Summers Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Man, it's times like this I wish the Grizz were still in town. Quote
_Zj Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I have never seen a softer big man than Pau. It's disgusting. No wonder people question his toughness. Quote
