It's that time of year again folks, Sal's Realm are holding a Christmas Guide Drive - exclusively for the quest section of the website,

and what good is a guide drive without drivers? That's you!

This drive will be exclusively for our quest guides, a full list of which are posted below.

The list contains which guides have not yet been written and guides which are in need of updates, specifically HD images. However, you are allowed to make any changes to any of the guides you feel are necessary.

Guide Drive Dates

Saturday 10th December 2011 - Sunday 1st January 2012

Scoring System

One Image - One point
A full guide's images - A point per picture + 10 points
A full guide re/write - A point per picture + 40 points
A brand new guide - 75 points
Written guide updates - 2 points per paragraph
Just transparencies - A point every 3 images transparetised

Submitting Content

To submit content to this drive, please post it in

this subforum, then post a link to your thread in this topic

Now on to the most important part - the reward!

Rewards!

1st - Pip + Title for a month
2nd - Pip + Title for 3 weeks
3rd - Pip + title for 2 weeks

There is also a possibility of extra rewards, such as Runescape membership (awaiting confirmation) for those who want it - and a copy of Betrayal at Falador if Salmoneus is able to palm the thing off to any of the winners :wizard:

Please Note

As always, please use reliable image hosts, do not use tinypic as they are known to recycle old URLs.

Also, always remember to submit your own content, any content that is deemed to have been taken from another source will result in your complete disqualification from the drive.

Can we get a list of quests that need content updates/revisions as well? (I'll help if needed). Some guides are very outdated and we don't want them to be ignored during this drive!

I think it would be safe to assume that all the guides in those lists do, as any with outdated images are more than likely to have outdated content due to how much new content is added to the game, especially as of late.

Why not? It'll be accepted within the dates of the guide drive.

The guide wasn't written within the dates of the drive, or else I'll be eligible for about 200 points before the things started :(

Why not? It'll be accepted within the dates of the guide drive.

We had a few situations like this in last year's guide drive. (What I think) that the staff at the time decided was that if the bulk of a guide was completed before the guide drive began, then no points would be counted towards the guide. I guess it's just bad timing. :(

I've done a bit of questing recently so I've got a few quest scroll images saved. I don't have time to make them all transparent, but can I make one thread for all of them (only including images of ones that need the update)?

Just transparencies - A point every 3 images transparetised

And not every image needs to be transparent, just some eg items and quest completion scrolls
