one23 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Everybody's are blue. and everyone is mostly using the quest icon. I feel special because i'm an exception :(
Hunter Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Everybody's are blue. and everyone is mostly using the quest icon. Because the colour of the quest icon and cape is blue. It's the only logical colour, really :( The icon doesn't follow the contest rules. I made another one which is, IMHO, my best:

Beret Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Everybody's are blue. and everyone is mostly using the quest icon. Because the colour of the quest icon and cape is blue. I made another one which is, IMHO, my best: It doesn't matter if the icon isn't part of the rules or not, they will still accept it as an entry. Your icons aren't as relevant to the subject matter as an actual quest icon. And I made several other colors besides blue. Edited December 14, 2011 by Beret
Herty Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I'd like to point out my pip has a wooden spoon, which is part of the RFD quest, and it has a red colour with blue writing, to make a nice contrast and the blue signifies the questing "colour" as such. That is all.
Kemosabe Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Honestly, I think Hunter's ideas are the best. He's one of the few who has thought to use something different to the quest icon, but has kept it relevant with quest items. Plus they look awesome. How much of a say do the participants of the guide drive have?

They shouldn't, really - you decided not to follow the rules of the pips :D Thank you, Kemosabe.
Jethraw Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Whether they will or not is irrelevant. They shouldn't, really - you decided not to follow the rules of the pips :( It's completely within the rules, and your nonstop berating of everyone elses pips in a bid to try and win by default is really starting to ruin the entire thing. It's not an item per-se, but it's still Runescape related and I'd rather not have to write a 500word essay per rule to make sure it fits a strict set of criteria, so please, let people enter without being constantly sniped at for it. And @ Kemosabe, I'm not sure yet how the voting will go. Edited December 14, 2011 by JethrawClaus

It takes no effort to say "something RuneScape-related". An item is very specific. I don't really care. You read too far into what I say?
Aabid Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Just saw this today. Hm... Are you going to enter? I am going to try one on MS Paint or Paint.Net. How do you guys make those cool backgrounds? I need to know! The ones I had are C4D (abstract backgrounds) coloured uniquely. I'm going to try and make a couple now with different-style backgrounds. How do you make C4D backgrounds? :( And if it is on like Photoshop, anyone know where to get it?

You can get Adobe Photoshop on trial for 30 days here.
Lonelywolf Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) at least i tried right? EDIT: tried with blue and stuff Edited December 15, 2011 by LonelyRudolph
Hunter Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Move all of the contents more to the right and you have a very nice pip there, Admiral. Maybe make it brighter too (the background). The second is my favourite.
Aabid Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 at least i tried right? EDIT: tried with blue and stuff He used the C4D too? Also, where do I go to make em? I don't see an option to have a C4D background. Just saw this today. Hm... Are you going to enter? I am going to try one on MS Paint or Paint.Net. How do you guys make those cool backgrounds? Lonelywolf Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Sorry you both get mixed up in my mind :( I can't be the only one D: More turquoisey. Yeah. you're thinking it should match the colour of the helm, right? :D
Pig Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Am I the only one who noticed that Jordo's pip is the only one with the right font? Not that it really matters.
Hunter Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 They all use visitor as far as I know? Which I used.
Pig Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 They all use visitor as far as I know? Which I used. It looks like Visitor, but it's slightly different. The edges of the letters are more rounded.

The edges of the letters are more rounded. Could it be that second Visitor font that comes with the first one on dafont.com? When I downloaded the font, I got 2 font files, visitor1 and visitor2, no idea what the other one is for.
