Fabis
Yeah, it's too big. As you can see the right end pops out of the main <div>. This can be easily fixed by making the forum embed the video in the small player, like it did in IPB 2.3.6. Beret
This can easily be fixed by changing the dimensions of the youtube media BBcode.
Fabis
You can change the dimensions in the BBCode? From what I remember, the BBCode didn't have any arguments and was just [blogmedia]url[/blogmedia] Is there a new BBCode now? It's not like there's a documentation anywhere... Hunter
I don't have that problem - in fact, I can almost fit two in side by side. Perhaps IPB3 is designed for somewhat larger screens? In any case, I think making it smaller would be okay... but in the end it's because you have a small screen :(

Looking at the profile background it seems invision have assumed all users will be using modern screens and highest resolution.

Hunter
1080p is big, sure. But the space on my screen fits nearly 2 into it. A 720p screen (really the minimum one would want nowadays) will fit it on fine.
heb0
Having content blocks on both sides also constricts things a bit, though an "small" option might be nice so we don't leave out the people who either want content blocks on both sides, have small monitors, or both. Fabis
1280 x 1024 here, so definitely not some 10 year old monitor.

Hunter
I'm surprised that doesn't fit. I'll try with that screen size in a moment.

Hunter
Yeah, it doesn't fit at 720p or your screen size. You could de-clutter your content blocks (IE, removing those on one side and adding them to the other).
Helm Lardar
To me, it fits. I don't have that large a screen, but a relatively large video player is very nice: with the old player, I had to open the video in another video if I wanted to see what was going on...slightly removing the point of an embed. You could de-clutter your content blocks (IE, removing those on one side and adding them to the other). Or an admin could fix this so it would work for everyone no matter what screen size. It's been what, 4 days since I posted this? Changing the BBCode really isn't that hard so I have no idea why this hasn't been fixed yet. Hunter
It'll never work on all screen sizes. Make it smaller and the point is deleted. Even if it's so small you can barely see the massive title, an 800x600 screen will have trouble. You can always declutter your blog or just link the videos. And it's not a matter of difficulty of changing, it's the fact we might not want to change. Edited January 22, 2012 by Hunter
Siemon
1280 x 1024 here, so definitely not some 10 year old monitor. That's just over half the resolution of average monitors now.
Fabis
My blog worked before the upgrade so it will work again if they fix the embed code. The difference between my resolution and 800x600 is that pretty much no one uses no one uses 800x600 anymore, while 1280x1024 still popular. Source: http://gs.statcounte...1012-201112-bar As you can see 1024x768 is pretty much still the most popular resolution, and my resolution is even a little bigger than that. So I don't see why I should make it smaller, because a few people have new monitors and no that is not over half the resolution of average monitors. Also, if you absolutely must have the big YouTube player, then you can also add an argument to the BBCode so you can choose between the big and small one. Fatalysm
I think the blog preview shouldn't allow images over a certain size and youtube videos should have an image thumbnail that's small. It's ridiculous at the moment.
