Looking for yet another new PC

Recommended Posts

So, after being unsatisfied by my Xbox 360, and being annoyed at all the amazing PC skyrim mods, I've been looking for a new PC. I've been looking around, and I haven't really been able to find anything that fits my fancy. All I really need is for it to be able to run Battlefield 3, and it absolutely must be able to run Skyrim at the highest possible graphics settings, with mods and no lag. I don't really have a budget, but the less money the better. Some of the PC's I've been looking at include:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Cyberpowerpc+-+Gamer+Ultra+GUA250+Desktop+Computer+-+AMD+FX-Series+FX-4100+3.60+GHz+-+Tower+-+Black/4686573.p?id=1218508110441&skuId=4686573

I was also looking at Cyberpowerpc.com itself, as they allow you to pick and choose each individual item yourself.

For anyone that helps, thank you in advance and I'd love to see what you guys suggest!

thats because what you got is way more than what you need for skyrim XD

also don't buy from bestbuy or anything like that

also what's your budget?

are you interested in building your own comp?

Erm, are there three graphics cards in there? You won't need that many.

I'm looking for something around 1,000 dollars. And The Cyberpowerpc build I made was mainly clicking on expensive items. ಠ_ಠ

One could, of course, get a better computer at a better cost if they built it themselves (or had someone to build it for them).

Looks perfect, but alot of people seem to be having trouble with the power supply after looking at the reviews. But, it does look absolutely perfect otherwise.

EDIT:

Some other ones I saw:

Main differences between the one you posted? And thanks for helping me.

It's still under warranty--most prebuilts are like that with insufficient or dubious-quality power supplies. I hate to say it but you're probably off buying a replacement power supply--a decent one is about $80.

Here is Tubby's Preset build(with a bit of copying Satansfate, Bobsama and Redmonke)

CPU: Intel i5 2500(can be lowered to 2400 if on a budget)/ i3 2120

GFX Card: Nvidia 1 GB 560(doesn't really matter what brand)/AMD Radeon 1 GB 6850/AMD Radeon 1GB 6790

Motherboard: Intel Z68 Mobo/P67 Mobo

PSU: Corsair/Seasonic/Antec/XFX 600W PSU/500W PSU

Case: Coolermaster HAF 632 Case/ Coolermaster Elite 335

Hard Drive: 1TB Caviar Black 7200RPM/750GB 7200RPM

RAM: 2x4GB 1600 RAM(Preferably Kingston or Corsair, however G-Skill is ok)/1x4GB 1333 RAM(Preferably Kingston or Corsair, however G-Skill is ok)

look for something similar to that(obv if buying preset the case will be completely different, not a problem. Right hand side is the cheaper section, left is more towards $1000-$1300 if buying from those custom pc websites

EDIT: giving credit where credit is due

HAF 632? :)

Only problem with that is the Seagate you're suggesting, add XFX to reliable PSU vendors.

kk changing the seagate option and adding XFX

HAF 932(Basically, you're paying for the looks and beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it's a bit of a ??? zone :P)

There was an Antec case that I liked, low price and it does the job but I cbf to find it and it's probably something like 200 or 300 or something or other

I'd ditch the 2600k for an i5 2500k and get a better graphics card. There isn't a single game around that utilizes hyperthreading. Edited by theking1322
