My Name
Supporters List 1) My Name ----------------------------------------------------------- If any of you remember, before the forums update if you went on to someone's blog homepage you could view the full entry of all the blogs (except for comments, you had to click in the blog for comments). Now after the forum update if you go onto someone's blog homepage you can just see the first 200 or so characters and you have to click on each blog post in turn if you want to read the full post. This is really annoying if you are reading back over a full blog as it means you have to click on each entry to read it then go back and click on the next one. What I suggest is that we go back to the old way and have it show the full blog entry except for comments. Obviously like before this will be set to 10 or so entries to each page so you don't just have one massive page showing every entry ever wrote. It will mess up the view count for each entry as people will only click on them to comment but I'm sure most bloggers will just be happy with just a view count overall for the full blog. If you support this suggestion then please post a reply saying that you support and I'll add you to the supporters list.
Fatalysm
There has always been a limit, even with the old software. So that part is redundant. The reason why this is a bad idea and I'm against it. If you've ever read a blog entry from someone like Merch Gywar, Sofee, Pheonix Rider etc you will know what i'm talking about. Edit: You're talking about peoples actual blogs, you click inside their blogs and you saw everything. I'm pretty sure you didn't, but even so, the spoiler is there for a reason :P. O hai im KAMIL
What about if there are 5 blog posts with over 2000 characters each, and you don't care for any of them? Way too much scrolling. It's perfectly fine the way it is.

teacuptime
I'm in favour of this too, there are far too many occasions where there are only a few more lines of text after the 'click'. The current skin and blog post cut-off combination gives way too much space to cruft and far too little to actual content.

Well th, how about increasing the character cutoff limit to say, 400-500 characters? This way, you have a better idea of what the post is about, and at the same time the blogs home page isn't full of long entries.
Fatalysm
Is there a way of doing it so that pictures and videos don't show up? If the word limit was at around 500 and you can have videos and pictures, the entries on the main page are still massive :(!
Jethraw
Yeah, I would support the removal of pics and videos. If I want to read your entry I will, stop thrusting your big imagery in my face!
