Can Someone's Post Count Be Reduced?

I haven't been on Sal's Realm for a few years now. I decided to get back on and check things out. I get on and find that I only have about 300 posts. When I stopped getting on the forums before I had anywhere from 1500 - 2000 posts. So my question is: can someone's post count be reduced? And for what reasons? I am not sure why it shows that I only have 300 posts now. It isn't that big of a deal, I'm mostly just curious. Thanks for any help. :)

This has to do with the new forum upgrade. It has something to do with "posts" and "active posts." If you notice, your profile shows a higher post count than the info below your post, though it's still not as high as the amount you said before. This happened to a lot of members who had gone a while without posting whenever the forums were updated.
