  1. 1. What happens next?

    • B. You shoot even more coins at him to counter those coming at you, while also charging at him because this option would be boring otherwise

Because obviously it's too hard for someone with skills in Faking close to Mario's.

My point exactly.

SFC:AH wiki is up! Here's some rules anybody and everybody must follow before altering anything other than a typo:

  • There will be no plot of the whole story on the front page. This is annoying to edit, looks kind of bad on the front page, and doesn't quite help the reader.
  • Anything referring to the title of the page must be bolded in the first sentence (eg. for the page "Cod" the first words are "N. Worb Cod is...")
  • Link everything that refers to another page the first time the word/phrase is mentioned. Also, whenever you make a new page, go to other pages that would have that word and link it. For example, if I just made the page "Sagitta" I should go to "Lucius", look for the first time Sagitta is mentioned, and link his name.
  • Remember that trivia isn't necessary, but currently happens to be on most of the pages. Trivia is generally information that the reader would not know by reading the story. For example, "Sagitta in Latin is 'arrow'" is trivia, whereas "Sagitta wears a coif" is not.
  • The added images must be a small size unless they are meant to be large. For example, if you're making a picture of Lucius, don't post a whole image with him, but rather crop it to just showing his body. Something like the official banner, however, obviously can't be resized, so you'd have to make that the whole image.
  • This wiki now has a Quotes section. These quotations are intended to help the reader understand who the character has communicated with and how. Be sure you have the quote character-by-character accurate, also. Follow the existing pages for each quotes' format.
  • All pages concerning characters must include personality and appearance sections. Follow existing pages to get an idea of what to insert. If the character isn't significant to have a personality or appearance, they aren't significant enough to have their own page.
  • Don't write a biography of each character. The reader only wants to get a general idea of who each person is, so a general description of their contribution to the story is enough. The first paragraph of their page should describe their main features (eg. "Lucius is a Saradominist ranger in the same unit as you") and the second should add some other key facts (eg. "Lucius' primary weapon is the Eerie Bow".)
  • Only write pages about things in the story. There should be no Guitarguy, Sal's Realm, or igneous rock pages.
  • Similarly, don't write about unnecessary things. Remember, you're trying to help the reader. Making a page about that one hill in the background isn't going to help anybody.
  • While making your contribution, be sure everything is accurate and not assumed/guessed. "Hecate will probably be a strong character later on" is not something which should be on any page. This isn't the DBZ wiki.
  • After editing something, be sure to use the conveniently-placed "Summarize your edit" box around the top-right of the page. As the owner of the wiki, I understand how things should work around it, which is why I usually don't use this option. But sometimes I have to ensure the edits of other users are acceptable, so I will need to know which portion of a page was edited.
  • If you don't have anything constructive to contribute, don't contribute anything at all.

What do you know about piracy? Lots of their words originated from Latin.

Not really, but like... Latin is fudgeing amazing.

Oh, and Sagitta's name is Latin, so your statement is contradictory.

That's because it's the name of a person. Pirates rarely have children, so they aren't the ones to name them. Perhaps Sagitta's mother was Roman so she named her child after a relevant Latin thing before he took on the life of a pirate .

Well, maybe his bow was Roman too.

Also, if this story takes place in the future there should be some reference to Jsuix and his involvement in ending the God Wars. And how the hell do the God Wars take place if all the gods are dead save for Brassica Prime and the Menaphite Pantheon, both of which weren't even involved in the Guthixian Edicts to begin with? Crap, I answered my own question.

This is a new hope, not a continuation from an old hope, silly .

So Guitarguy

How does it feel to have to redo all of your kits to match the new combat beta stances? :D

Why on Gielinor would I redo them? The poses I captured and edited are probably better than anything you'll see in that silly RuneScape game .

OMG IDEA

Okay so. Every time somebody votes, they can post a paragraph-long explanation on why they chose their poll choice. The paragraph must be at least five sentences. And those sentences should mostly be like as long as this one. And they have to be written well. And you can't keep starting a sentence with "And" like I'm doing because I don't think it's very grammatically correct.

And the reason one does this: a like! All you have to do is spend a minute or two writing some shizzle, and in no time you'll surpass everybody on the forum in likes! (This is not a bribe. In my opinion.)

This will help increase the activity on this topic, the votes in the poll, and it will help me to improve the CYOA depending on the actions of the viewers.

No double posting. No editing a post. I don't have infinite likes in my pocket. Well, I do, but people may catch on to this if I'm handing out likes.

Example relevant to today's poll:

I chose option B in this particular poll for many a reason. One's favorite color most certainly assists others on identifying him or her as a person. Colors are not simply wavelengths which (besides Lucius) enter one's eye, but they represent numerous aspects of life. For example, I would be willing to assume that one whose favorite color is pink is a cheery person in general. With the very knowledge of General Pfgfsjkl's favorite hue, I may come to understand him better. This will greatly sway my future decisions concerning him to the benefit of all.

But it doesn't have to be as majestic as my writing is.

In my opinion, it is silly to post just for the sake of getting likes. While the system of rating posts is not flawed in and of itself, people are for posting with the sole motivation of seeing a number on their profile page go up. In reality, such behavior is no better than posting for the sake of post count, or adding people for the sake of friend count. The numbers themselves are hollow, and whilst reputation/like count may say more about a person than post count, posting for the sake of likes still isn't justified. Any way you may slice it, it's still attention-whoring, even when the end result contributes to a topic or makes somebody laugh. Post for the sake of your post - you're supposed to contribute to a topic or the peoples' enjoyment thereof, not to some scarcely-meaningful number.

But I don't care how frivolous the deal may be as long as people corrupted by the force of likes are helping this topic . In fact, I liked your post so that you may fall victim to the temptation.

Still, that's fair enough . I only felt like taking advantage of something that wasn't... not this.

But if anybody writes their essay nonetheless, you'll gain a special like in the depths of my heart .

Not enough :closedeyes:s.

I was actually trying to be more ironic than serious with that post :P

I.e. you told us to write well-written 5+ sentence paragraphs about things that could probably be summed up to a single sentence. So I did that, but not on the subject you asked me to do it on :P

Posted

Guitarguy, I'm having a problem loading all of the images on my iPod (where I do most of my foruming). Can you please compile each part into an imgur album or something?

Otherwise I can't read it! :(

I took it as you mocking my proposal by carrying it out in a manner that criticized it concurrently, and I was quite offended .

Kso, what should I do now ? Perhaps there should be a poll asking for everybody's input.

Oh right, I should get around to that. I'll put them into the Google website, seeing as an imgur album wouldn't allow me to use the text.

Oooh. Working on Part 1 right now.

Parts 1&2 complete. All parts which are fully complete will henceforth be grouped into a simple imgur album.

BACK TO DA DISCUSSION ON DA JSUIX.

Even if it's not based on the old trilogy, it's still got to have some connection since you CANNOT explain the God Wars any other way. Jsuix killed all the gods that could possibly have been involved in this aside from Brassica Prime and the Menaphites, and the only other possibilities, Saradomin and Guthix, were killed by Guthix and Zamorak, respectively. So, since Jsuix killed everyone else, His Most Holy Cabbagery and the Menaphites have absolutely nothing to wage war on. Besides, if Jsuix wanted to perform his job even half-assed he wouldn't allow this War to happen in the first place, since it would violate the Edicts he inherited from Guthix. Therefore, this war cannot exist without further explanation as to why Jsuix wants this to go on, or at least his reasons for allowing it.

And so, "Screenshot Fake CYOA IV: Anew Hope" does not exist, and I do hereby banish you to an eternity in the "Other Screenshots & Videos" section.

Edit: HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT HUH, NEW PAGE YEAH.

I was just under the impression that this was all a prequel :aware:

Seeing as the Edicts were involved in the end of the God Wars, it would, you know, make sense that they don't actually exist yet. Along with our original hero, in all probability.

By the way, just throwing this out there: if anybody wants to novelize any of the SFCYOAs into Minecraft books for my upcoming library, feel free to do so. And yes, Guitarguy gets to sue for copyright violation if the publisher doesn't have his approval. The resulting court case would be a welcomed addition to the history section of my library :aware:

Saradomin and Zamorak dislike each other. They go to war. Just like what happened in the Third Age.

Saradomin and Zamorak are killing each other now because Guthix is asleep. Just like he was in most of the Third Age.

I thought this took place in the Sixth Age, but I'm not even sure if I put that anywhere so I could change it to the Third Age if anything doesn't make sense. But that doesn't seem to be a problem now.

There wast no specific incident that hath caused this, I had simply had my fill of their wars destroying my beautiful planet and prevented them from interfering anymore. They are however both mightily powerful, and I cannot fully prevent their indirect actions upon the world.

-Guthix

Both are dead by the Sixth Age, since Age 6 would be after the events of SSFCYOAIII.

By the Sixth Age, Jsuix has killed Zamorak and Saradomin has died. Nothing to do here. Also, Guthix was clearly awake during the events of SSFCYOA. After that, It's dead anyways.

Guthix is an It, not a He.

Addressing the rest:

On the Wiki's pages for You and the Sixth Age God Wars, it points out that this is 6th age.

Therefore, it now makes sense because it takes place in the Third Age.

However, Wilderness scenes do not, since the Wilderness destruction happened at the end of the Wars.

Could they be some other ruins?

How about.

Some mystical being revived all of them. Like a superior "Guthix" (God of Balance), demanding they all be alive.

Idk.

But this never followed the other SFCs' storyline, as I've said before.

This is a new hope, not a continuation from an old hope, silly .

There's no indication that it takes place in the wilderness, either, but a wiki page states that some of the screenshots come from the wilderness.

False. Guthix =/= male, therefore it's proper to correct that. Since Goku = Kakarot, that would make no sense.

Anywhat, BACK TO THE CRITICISM.

How do you make these?

This is so damn cool. :)

Do you make these up? The story that is?

How did the fight take so many days?

Do you make these up? The story that is?

Ultimately, but the viewers are the true storymakers.

How did the fight take so many days?

Nobody was voting so I had to do nothing for a few extra days.
