Or can a player with a high enough thieving level break into these rooms and rob the banks? (I've been able to get a couple of trinkets from the basement of the main branch in Varrock with TG, but it's hardly worth the cost of runes.) There was once a bank robbery in Draynor, but it was staged between NPCs, not by a player. Was this a serious questions? Yes. it was a serious question. With the locked gates in all the banks, it seemed reasonable to assume that it's possible to rob a bank with high enough thieving level (or at least they had planned to allow it, but then changed their minds because it might wreck the economy).
