Salmoneus 444 Posted August 10, 2012 Even when you are in the business of fun, not every week ends up being fun. This week, our security team found an unauthorized and illegal access into our internal network here at Blizzard. We quickly took steps to close off this access and began working with law enforcement and security experts to investigate what happened. Source: http://www.blizzard.com/securityupdate The hackers have email addresses, encrypted passwords, answers to security questions, and two-factor authentication details. If you have a Battle.net account, be sure to secure your account ASAP (new password and security answers). Also, make sure your recovery details for your attached email account are different from your Battle.net account.
Kaibamanjrs 3 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) The battle.net site is too hard for me to navigate. I can't find where to change my security questions/recovery details. This is going to cause a nightmare for people that normally recover using cd keys Edited August 10, 2012 by Kaibamanjrs
Heleigh 1 Posted August 10, 2012 Just a thought, how do we know what websites are safe?
Kaibamanjrs 3 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Just a thought, how do we know what websites are safe? You can't know unless you made it yourself from the ground up and are not capable of making errors yourself. Of course, all cryptography is just a cat and mouse game. This is going to cause a nightmare for people that normally recover using cd keys There's a bar of links at the top of every battle.net site that says account. Click on that. Once you're there, there will be a settings tab. Click the arrow and then there's all the options to change your details. It's not difficult.

Helm Lardar 77 Posted August 14, 2012 Good thing I'm one of the few people who doesn't have a battle net account what is battle.net??? Stuff made by Blizzard Entertainment, like Diablo and World of Warcraft, requires a battle.net account. (I think). That's what it is.
