Ultimate Game Card Scam/Technical Difficulties?

Question

I'm not sure if it's completely true or I'm just doing something wrong, but the ultimate game card seems to be a scam. I bought 1 month membership and entered the code. The card is worth $20. However now my membership has expired and I'm trying to buy another month except it says the pin number on my card has already been used. Any ideas if this is a scam or I'm just doing it wrong.

A $20 card is for 3 month's membership. A one month card is about $7. If you bought a one-month card for $20, the store ripped you off. And on top of that, if the pin was already used, the store sold you a used card. Was the pin scratched off the back? Of course, it might not have been the store's fault. Someone could have scratched off the card in the store, wrote down the pin, then put the card back on the display. The world is full of nasty dishonest people in real life, not just on the internet, you gotta check these things...

This happens more than you'd think. One of my mom's friends works as a cashier and kids will constantly do this so they can get free membership.

as far as i know, this only works if they cashier registers the code, and therefore can not be used unless purchased (but of course, thats what i thought about how they worked)

nope, the cashier has to activate the code..

what "ultimate game card"???

ok, so you got a gamecard which worked for $20 but was 1 month, and so now you have another one which says the pin number has already been used?

was the silver backing scratched off?

well,u already entered a $20 card.membership is 7,so u have $13 left.but, thats not how UCG work (i think) the cash is added to ur account, and u dont really need the pin anymore.i believe its stored on ur account by logging in,and buying it.the cash should be stored there, (unless u got scammed)
