Multiple Ores Per Rock

So maybe I'm not sure if this would totally sit well with most of the players. I read before that in Members Area there is a type of rock which yields multiple ores before becoming empty.

I'm suggesting that maybe Rocks should be like this universally. Fishing & Woodcutting both have Harvest Spots which don't exhaust immediately after one attempt.

To be honest I like that pre-77 mining only allows one ore per spot. It's one of the last skills that hasn't been made extremely easy. Before the living rock mining, you actually had to mine each ore on its own, which I personally did it like that from 1-98. Making it a "harvest spot" the whole way through would make mining a joke.

On a positive note, once you get to 77 mining is a breeze!

That's exactly the point: there's a massive difference between normal mining and LRC.

I am against LRC so I would be against this too. Once you hit 77 mining and are a member, mining is a joke. For that reason I would be against this too. But I would expect something like this in the future as Jagex tends to make skills easier and easier.

Also from 68 mining you can use the lava flow mine as another source of "multiple ores per rock". The reason lrc has concentrated ore deposits is the fact that the monsters in the area are aggressive to players in there so there is a risk vs reward aspect. Though with players banding together in one world the risk is greatly reduced.

A big minority and pretty much I shouldn't even be subject to this reply but... those are Members Spots though. As a F2P I know i'm pretty much entitled to not complain about anything at all though. But its the prevalence of Bots all over, At least with fishing and woodcutting you can get multiple resources in a single spot.

But yeah its really nagging me ever since back then in '05 since you just had to contend with bots everywhere.

But the problem is F2Pers shouldn't have rights, so this update won't go through. -.-

It's still annoying to see after working so hard to get a high level in dungeoneering or whatever then to find out the "exclusive" Area is overcrowded by Bots and reporting them doesn't even do anything to stop the bots.

I guess i'll be stuck mining in the Edgeville Mine, like i've been mining at for the past 2 years.

I would be against this, mining is one of the few 99's that i see as an acheievement. Nowadays i feel like any kid who no lifes for a week can get a skillcape with ease, that wouldnt happen with mining (unless you 24/7 did nothing but played rs) and if you could do it in a week you would probably die of boredom/quit. Though i can see what your saying, it being a gathering skill without a harvest point in the game, but thats what makes it mining :)

Personally, the mining skillcape is an awesome achievement. Even if you can mine multiple ore from a rock after 77, it still takes awhile and dedication to get the exp for 77. It's not a bad money maker either. I tend to set high goals for myself, such as the one in my signature. I think mining should stay the way it is, keeping the skillcape as a valuable and hard earned achievement. Not saying that all of the other skills aren't hard to level, but let's just be honest because you can buy your way to 99 with some of the skills.
