Death Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 As of about a week ago, every time I try to shut down my laptop I get the force shutdown window telling me something is still running, but nothing comes up in the window. If I wait about 10 seconds it'll just shut down normally. More of an irritation than anything else. How do I figure out what program(s) is causing this problem? I haven't installed anything new recently. Quote
Bob-sama Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Don't worry about it. It's an "issue" with Microsoft Windows. Frequently, background tasks are slow to terminate themselves. There's not much you or anyone else can really do about it. So far as problems go, it's a 1/5 priority--it's only a mild irritant. Quote
reepicheep Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Yeah, I've had this for two years now I think. Annoying, but not a problem/something you can fix easily I believe. Quote
O hai im KAMIL Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Go to 'Services.msc' and you can try disabling some unnecessary applications from starting up, which may be causing the issue (don't turn off things that are necessary though). I get it as well sometimes, though rarely. Quote
