Ak-47 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I hooked up and reformatted an old computer for my parents to their TV, and I reformatted it with a full version of WXP, but now when I try to connect to the internet, it says something along the lines of; HTTP/HTTPS can be accessed, but not FTP I still can't connect to the internet. The computer brand is the HP Pavilion a230n, and I'm trying to figure out which driver should work, although I can't seem to figure out which one. It's connected to my modem thanks to a long-ass ethernet cable. Thanks! Quote

Ak-47 Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 This should be the one: http://h20000.www2.h...Item=pv-15817-2 It tells me to get SM Bus controller driver, and I try to reinstall it in the driver interface, and then it asks to use the internet, which I can't access. Also, whenever I open up the internet thru IE, it always prompts me with that old-school dial up interface where you type in a user/pass and hit connect. Quote
