Micael Fatia 542 Posted July 29, 2013 Doom here's the code: Battle of Lumbridge Written by: Doom Special Thanks to: Army of One, Big Tree, Micael Fatia, Reepicheep, Roy, Sobend Introduction Map of the Battlefield The Battle of Lumbridge is the first Runescape "world event" released with Runescape 3 on July 22, 2013. Players were automatically teleported to the battle upon login to Runescape 3. It is the first weekly event in a series of battles that will span 10 weeks with a new challenge every week. The battle explained the presence of a mysterious portal that had been increasing in size behind Lumbridge Castle. A cutscene that all players were required to watch showed that Zamorak used the portal to Gielinor. Saradomin appears shortly afterwards and the two begin to fight. While Saradomin and Zamorak are currently at a stalemate, their followers have taken the fight to the battlefield and can be seen running from their respective camps or teleported by their gods to random areas. Kara-Meir can be found near the Lumbridge lodestone. Players do not need to talk to her to continue although talking to her will provide some background information as to what is going on. Note: If you missed the cutscene at the beginning or want to watch it again, you can see it again by speaking to Kara-Meir. Choosing Sides Players can choose a god to side with by heading over to either the Zamorakian or Saradomin encampment. Once players choose a side, they will be given a token of their god. Players can upgrade this token by collecting more Tears. The first upgrade to a Silver token requires 1000 tears. A Gold Token requires 2000 tears. A Runite Token requires 3000 tears. Players can switch sides, but they will lose their renown in doing so. The symbol of their chosen side will also be displayed above their character. Once a side is chosen, walking into the opposing side's camp will result in heavy damage! Note: You can disable the allegiance by clicking the quest icon and the "Battle of Lumbridge" tab and unchecking the Display Allegiance tick. If Doom thinks they're good enough then the guide is ready to be added to the website. (after the spell check)
Doom 44 Posted July 29, 2013 There's a 3 pixel horizontal variation which is hardly noticeable when you're browsing through the guide. Spell checked it and everything looks good. Ready to be added by Reepicheep since I dont have the powers
Sobend 912 Posted July 29, 2013 I noticed that too but I was like hey nobody's perfect. :P It can easily be fixed if anyone wants to do it.
Doom 44 Posted July 29, 2013 I figured we can begin working on week 2 stuff now that we have the basics down. And anything we wanna add from week 1 just to make it more detailed can be done as well.
Micael Fatia 542 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Might be possible to fix the problem with spaces. I will try lol. Edit: No nvm, doesn't work. Edit2: Actually I might just use your first transparencies, the extra shadow bothers me less than different sizes. Edit3: Or maybe not, ugh it's late atm I'll decide tomorrow. Tigerwing0 6 Posted July 29, 2013 Do you want the pictures of the cosmetic item drops?
reepicheep 324 Posted July 29, 2013 I'm adding it now then. If you want to change transparencies later, that's fine, just tell me. I think it's more important that the guide is up there right now than that every transparency is perfect :P
Shooter585 192 Posted July 29, 2013 You might want to add what the distinction is between freeplay and members activities/rewards. I don't know myself because I haven't logged in since the update, but I think freeplayers get less divine tears and I doubt the hybrid armor is freeplay. Roy 52 Posted July 29, 2013 Uh thanks Sobend but there seems to be something wrong with your transparencies. :s ^ See the difference? There has been a discussion on this in the topic of my transparency tool: http://runescape.sal...1/#entry3978449 (see the next 4 posts as well) Personally, I would leave them on, makes it look more like in-game. Micael Fatia 542 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Personally, I would leave them on, makes it look more like in-game. But the in-game items no longer have shadows. I banked my items, took screenshots and they had no shadows at least. Edit: Nvm, some have others don't it seems. Why I have no idea. Shooter - The armour is F2P. Yes Tiger that'd be great, I already have all the Infernal item parts, still need the Icyene. Edit2: Very well, I'm going to use the transparencies with the extra shadow. Sorry for making you do all the transparencies again for nothing Sobend. :( Can someone make the Dragon Saradominist and Zamorakian tokens (with added shadow)? They're the only ones we're missing. reepicheep 324 Posted July 29, 2013 Guise, it's done! http://runescape.salmoneus.net/tips/battle-of-lumbridge.html If there's anything I need to fix, either post here or PM me (PMing is quicker). I'll be awake for another 10 ish hours so I'll be able to fix stuff up. I put everything in tables and I think they look very pretty.

You messed up the hybrid armour price. 1500 Renown not 1600. :P And the consumables too. Divine Inspiration - 400; Guardian Angel -
reepicheep 324 Posted July 29, 2013 I just picked it from your quote ._. Ah well, will fix it. Oh, the consumables I'm not surprised, Hybrid did say 1600 I think. No matter.
Doom 44 Posted July 29, 2013 At some point it seems we omitted the Duke's Crisis. o_o From what I can see in week 2, the only changes have been new NPCs/Random events and the new duke's crisis. If we can add those in sometime soon, w'll be caught up for week 2.
Roy 52 Posted July 29, 2013 Personally, I would leave them on, makes it look more like in-game. But the in-game items no longer have shadows. I banked my items, took screenshots and they had no shadows at least. Edit: Nvm, some have others don't it seems. Why I have no idea. Before the runescape 3 update they all had a brown shadow (except for in the bank where they have a grey shadow). Now, the items in the bank interface have a grey shadow, the items in the inventory that opens with the bank have the original brown shadow. And the items in the normal inventory have a black shadow while the items in the worn equipment have the brown shadow.

Micael Fatia 542 Posted August 2, 2013 Going to be away for a week so I won't be able to add the missing information to the guide until I come back, but in case anyone wants to do it while I'm away I'm going to list what we need and post some images and information that can be used. We need: Information and images of all the Saradomin soldiers Information and images of the week 2 Zamorak soldiers Information and images of the battlefield events Duke's crisis Bank (store the items then take screenshots, the shadow is lighter and easier to remove. Maybe it's just me but my inv items all have black shadow and not the normal brown shadow for some reason) images of the Icyene cosmetic items and images of players holding the cosmetic items Information about the titles you can unlock skilling and killing minions (not the buyable ones) And that's it for now, can't think of anything else at least. Here's what we have atm: Zamorakian army Zamorakian footsoldier Melee 10k LP Weakness to fire spells Zamorakian warlock Magic 10k LP Weakness to arrows Zamorakian sniper Ranged 10k LP Weakness to crush Duke's Dilemma: Week 1: Titles: The Boundless The Powerful Events: Infernal cosmetic items: Some screenshots need cropping and others are not going to be used but I added them to this post anyway because they contain useful information. Shooter585 192 Posted August 7, 2013 The type of token you have is based on contribution, not renown (contribution=total tears/10). You could upgrade from silver to gold if you only have 100 renown as long as you have 300 contribution. You need 100 contribution for bronze, 200 for silver, 300 for gold, etc.
Doom 44 Posted August 7, 2013 I'm sorry that I really have not been around much to update this guide. I've been fairly busy. If anybody wants to take over the following weeks, that would be great. I don't anticipate too many huge updates. Each week is just small stuff predicated on votes from the week before.

Sobend 912 Posted August 12, 2013 There are also new NPCs. Heroes will spawn out of each god's portal. They have more lifepoints than regular soliders and whatnot. Saradomin's hero looks like a centaur and Zamorak's hero looks like a lesser demon. By the way, is the new armor a must have for freeplay? Is it considerably better than rune?
