Best TVs?

So I am looking for a new tv and I am a bit stumped. Right now I have a Panasonic 46-inch Plasma TV with 600hz & 720p. I am really starting to dislike the 720p and with the new consoles coming out I am thinking about a new tv which is where the problems come in. I'm looking at something @ 50 inches and at 1080p. I watch lots of sports (especially hockey) and I game which is why I am reluctant to go LED/LCD over Plasma. What do you guys suggest? As of right now I am leaning towards a Plasma over LED. Is the $100 extra bucks worth a LED?

LED is great, it does make things look so much better, I would recommend it. It's up to you though, just go into a shop and compare the two.

50" and 1080p. 120 Hz refresh.

 

I'm of the opinion that LED provides a better picture, but I think you should go into a Best Buy or something and see which ones stand out to you.

looks like a solid TV. Try to stay away from off brands/lower name brands.
