What would you do if you were the head of Runescape?

Sure okay that's why I prefer pre-EOC Runescape, but I think EOC isn't at fault for most of that (except for pures). People just refused to change to EOC and stopped. Besides, pking was already on a downward trend. I also think you are exaggerating the amount of people who quit due to EOC.

 

Before eoc the amount of players (including bots) online was always over 100k. Now it it ranges from 15k to 45k

 

What i meant by gears & armours being useless... Have you seen anyone using dds, claws, gmaul, dragon defender... for a year? I've seen only a few.

 

Minigames being dead is 100% eoc's fault. The rewards are completely shizzle now.

Okay, I see your point perfectly here. I'm not going to deny that EOC was horribly implemented. There are more examples of this (the one I always go to is quest monsters have not been rebalanced and there are no apparent efforts to strengthen them).

 

Still, I don't think Runescape has fallen as much as you are making it out to be. If you look at the google trend of Runescape you can see that activity hasn't really gone down much due to EOC. In fact it went up in March 2013 (I'm guessing due to 07scape). But these things go in cycles.

If I was the head of Jagex i'd market the game more to try and lure more players into joining the community. I would also rebalance some minigames and their rewards to make them attractive again.
