Sobend Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Whether you think EOC was a good or bad update, we can probably agree that it wasn't implemented that well. A lot of monsters that were tough to beat (namely quest monsters) just were not properly adjusted and are now too easy to beat. The only monsters that are still difficult to beat were the ones that had some strong ability that were not affected. For example the quest boss in Haunted Mine is still pretty hard to beat, and in fact could arguably be one of the harder quest monsters to now defeat. This should not be this way. Once hard quests like Dream Mentor are too easy. The question now is how should Jagex fix this? Should they give the monsters abilities or just let make them harder? I would support giving the monsters abilities. This will be difficult to do for every monster, but some quest monsters should be adjusted. Also abilities makes monsters just more interesting to fight. Some monsters do have abilities. When I did warbands for the first time I had no idea the followers had abilities and nearly died. It made things more dangerous and exciting. Also post EOC bosses such as the Kalphite King are pretty interesting to fight with the mandatory use of abilities. So what do you think? How should quest monsters be rebalanced? Quote

I remember before EoC he killed me two or three times and made me give up doing the quest (back when I was level 100-105ish), so he was definitely harder before. :s I think it shouldn't be too hard to rebalance the quest bosses, it's just doing the same they did to the GWD bosses: more lp and make them hit much harder. Unique abilities would be cool also, but some bosses already have them like Nomad, it's just a matter of boosting the special abilities effects. Quote
Army of One Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I faced the Do No Evil bosses a few months ago, and I about 5 hit each of them. Plus they very rarely hit me damage. Most quest bosses haven't been rebalanced, you are quite right, and I think the trick would be to just buff their damage up and more or less quadruple the amount of health they have - its no fun if the boss is falling dead before you even have enough adrenaline for a threshold ability.
