Favorite Weapons

Thought I'd start a discussion topic ( ). What are your favorite weapons?

 

Mine:

 

Excalibur: Thought this had a very underrated special attack. When it got enhanced it gained a bit more love.

Rune Crossbow: When this was released it made crossbows relevant for the first time ever. Had a long run as the most powerful crossbow.

Abyssal Whip: INDIANA JONES!

Ancient Staff: My favorite magic weapon. Looks nice. Too bad it has little use after EOC IIRC it was the most powerful staff for a time.

Hand Cannon: Closest thing to COD we have in this game.

Abyssal Whip-Probably my favorite weapon of all time. For starters it was the best weapon in the game by far until 2008 or so, and even until EoC it was one of the best. Before it's special attack was nerfed it also had one of the best special attacks in the game as well (special attack was you hit your max or you hit zero). I got my first one when I was level 77 and I was so proud of myself. I dominated everybody my level in Castle Wars :P

 

Crystal Bow-I used to like this one a lot, probably because it is powerful and uses no ammo (it was the first ranged weapon to use no ammo for a long time).

 

Kharil's Crossbow-I had one of these back in the day and it was a substantial improvement over a magic shortbow. Again this was fun to use in Castle Wars, unfortunately the ammo was too expensive and unrecoverable.

 

Dharok's axe-The amount of damage you can do with the full set was incredible, it was really fun to watch pk videos with these.

 

 

I think we usually like the ones that were the best weapons when we started playing. I started in 2005 and these were all new and some of the best weapons back then.

The Rune Longsword was the first rune weapon I ever owned, and I loved it. The first thing I ever hit with it was a 9 - two higher than my previous max, 7 - and from then on it became my staple Rune weapon of choice.

Also, the first members item I ever owned was a Granite Maul. I remember taking that down to the Zombies in the stronghold of security, and testing it there - after I hit that 17 man, I don't think I ever picked up my Rune Scim again.

F2P: Rune Scimitar. I owned so many with that one 35k weapon.

 

P2P: Probably the whip. Getting 1m and buying this weapon was incredible at the time.

Yeah it still exists, it can actually be customized now with the artisan's workshop. Graphics have changed though. I don't know how useful it is post-EoC

It's still useful but it is not as effective as it was pre-EOC sadly. Not worth it to me.
