I was just curious if you guys have any stories about being saved by your Ring of Life.

Bad story: I was dueling some time in 2006, I think I was staking something but not much, maybe 10k. Anyways, it was coming down to the wire, but once I got below the hitpoints threshold this message kept popping up saying "You can't teleport in the duel arena! You can't teleport in the duel arena!" This prevented me from attacking back and I lost -.-

 

Good Story: I was in the Wilderness some time, I think killing green dragons just south of Lava Maze or Red Dragon Isle (not sure why I was here). I was on a deserted world, but people actually pked these days so I ran into someone. I thought I was screwed because I brought almost no food, but next thing I knew I got teleported out and kept everything I had. I had a ring of life on and hadn't even realized it, haha. :P

I have so many ROL stories. That ring has saved my butt so many times.

 

Here is one from the summer where I faced Zamorak gwd at a Sals mass. It was the first time I had been members since 2006 so I was pretty poor and had no idea what I was doing. There was also nobody to bless my grave as everyone was dead at that point.

 

 

 

...Eventually though other people started dying (oddly I wasn't one of them) and we eventually dwindled down to three people: Azarath, Kamil, and me.

Azarath was the only pro left so we let him do the dirty work and take the hits. He told us if he teleported we should too. I wasn't really expecting him to teleport though. However the boss was giving him a rough time and he did have to teleport out, leaving the two of us. The boss was around 15% health at this point so two options were left: play it safe and teleport out as the experienced guy said or take a gamble, kill him, and hope the guy drops a hilt so I'd get half the cash. I chose the second option. After all, plenty of people duo this guy. I shouldn't have a problem whatsoever.

After about 10-15 second I realized that this wasn't going to work out as planned. Luckily, my ring of life saved me. Happened just in time too. Maybe I'm not ready for prime time.

Nice, I yet to have a story my self lol.

 

 

I hope it never happens to me that I have to use my ring =D.

I've only got a bad story. I was versing Koschei the Deathless in the Fremennik trials. I got to his fourth form and went to let him kill me. I forgot I still had my ring of life on.
