Regenist
I've seen a lot of people talking about how Legacy mode is the "Future" of RuneScape. I honestly haven't played it because I'm running an Iron Man OS account, but I'm thinking about playing it on my main account. All I really know is that there isn't any more of the GUI and EoC abilities, almost like vanilla, but with RS3 Graphics. Can anyone give me some light? -Leaf-
no. It was worse than eoc from the start, then received an additional nerf to become significantly weaker than even revolution without thresholds. The only reason this nerf happened was because of ignorant people saying, "omg I just hit a 600 with bgs this is better than drygores" without understanding the way damage is calculated at all. In any case, because of the stupidity of the masses, legacy has become nerfed to near useless compared to eoc.
Guitarguy
I almost didn't die in it one time, so I have fewer complaints than usual. But that's just my opinion. -.-
Sobend
You really have to try it out yourself. It depends on how much you hated EOC. I will say that there are still HUGE balancing issues with not only Legacy but also EOC. While graphics are cool, I would easily say the combat system is better on Old School due to balancing issues. Its because Jagex listens to their players too much, and a lot of the players are idiots. Tyranny of the majority.

Which situation do you prefer?

Which situation do you prefer? I think they need to listen to the players while making sure that what they're doing is best for the game going forward and not just that particular week. They need to rationalize the updates and nerfs/buffs instead of just knee-jerking to please the crowd.
Shooter585
In my opinion the combat system is really only worth using if you are chinning/bursting/barraging, as the abilities hit multiple targets (unless it is an ability specifically designed to do so). I like the fixed-screen interface too, it is much better than the EoC one. Apart from that, I'm not sure you'll like it that much better than EoC, though you can't knock it 'til you try it. Which situation do you prefer? To be honest I prefer the old way. Game developers are generally more stable than players. Although for a few things (like PKing) game developers have to listen to the players because they seemingly know less than the players. But who am I kidding, Jagex never listens to Pkers.
