This is a place to talk about computer gaming in general, be it a discussion about that awesome game you have been playing, or a really promising game that will be released soon. Heck, post away about your gaming rig or discuss ongoing sales at places such as Steam, Amazon, Green Man Gaming, Great Old Games and any other site or store.

Advice for building computers or buying technical Hardware should be posted in the Technical Support forum.

Note:

Some games have separate megathreads in this forum. Please post about these games in the thread where it belongs.

Example: A post about anything Minecraft related goes into the Sals MineCraft topic while anything World of Warcraft related belongs to The Official WOW thread

Well it's obvious why it's dying.

You create it and leave it at a standstill.

Maybe a list of PC games, maybe some of your favorites, maybe some recommendations? Most of the massive threads in this section have large amounts of content in the first post.

Getting the Alienware M11X Netbook. It can run games like Mass Effect 2 at max settings never dropping below 30 fps.

I strongly urge you not to get an Alienware. You're paying for the brand name, nothing else.

I spent £430 on my PC, it was better than Alienware's cheapest desktop at the time and it was 10x better (performance wise).

Might I suggest CyberPower Systems? Google them, they do fudgeing awesome deals.

It's a surprisingly powerful and cheap computer, especially for an alienware.

One of the better gaming laptops I've seen (plus it has an 8 hour battery).

This. Me and Red looked at it quite a bit. I agree most Alienwares are massively overpriced, in fact I'm convinced they all are but this one. I really want to get a laptop so I could take it to my campground so this is perfect. For reference it's $800.

Once they get truly massive people do not care, especially when the forum deletes all of your content.

Hmm. Looking into that Laptop now. Seems pretty good. I do need to buy a laptop myself to complete my gaming set up. It does actually seem.....pretty fudgeing good at a fair price for what comes with it.

Shall I or shall I not...I'll be able to afford it within the next month. -.-

For gaming laptops I'd go with either one of those or something along the Toshiba Qosmio lines (they're also larger).

I know you're not American but for reference: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834114796

I may end up getting something like that for college in a year. I've always liked Toshiba laptops.

I'll let you know how it is if you want. Should be ordering within this month.

I wish I could partake in this. My gaming PC is horrid, and I can only play pre-2000 games with no problems (starcraft, tiberium sun, etc)

I'm sure we could help you upgrade if you want.

Started playing Indigo Prophecy today. So far its good. Its kinda old, but I never played it before.

Is it good? I've been looking for a new game and this seems pretty decent.

So far its good. The graphics are pretty dated. But the way the controls work make it pretty entertaining. Give it a go if you want, its pretty cheap now too.

Bought Rome total war with all expansions for only $3.39 from a sale on steam -.- Also got AvP Classic for $5. Going to get Empire Total War for $10 on Steam tomorrow even though I can't run it. Trying to stockpile some games for when I get my laptop by buying when there's sales.

I'm well versed with computers (Not sure if you were here during the Techie era). I could get a good one, I just lack the income. I'm thinking I'll use a chunk of my financial aid and buy something better. I mean, with this (custom 120gb hdd, and XP Pro SP2, I use it for watching videos) I could enjoy some Soldat. -.-
