Bob do you ever use the joystick? I've got one but I don't know what games I'd use it for other than flying games (maybe racing?).

There's probably a reason its up on that speaker out of his way -.-

I've been playing Star Trek Online with a 5 day trial code my friend gave me (I don't want to disclose his name because I know how you guys get with free keys and stuff [see first page of this topic -.-]). It's ok tbh. Feels a lot like EVE, but not really as badass or as mature.

It does run great on old hardware. I play on high texture settings, low lighting (it kills me), with medium reflections and it looks great and runs at a playable framerate (30-40 in like outposts, 20-30 in space).

I'm waiting for The Old Republic, that looks promising. I also heard of an Elder Scrolls MMO, I'm really interested if that's true (seeing as TES is like my favorite series ever :)).

Just now getting to the end of the main questline in Morrowind after nearly 3 years of owning the game. :)

I can't wait for The Old Republic. I just can't help but feel like it was suppose to be a Mass Effect MMO but then they decided that it'd sell better with Star Wars. Uses structure of ME so I'm sold.

I'm also interested in Global Agenda. Seems to be like Eve Online where content is player driven. Its F2P, but its $50. I'll probably get it when I get my new computer.

Oh and Commandandconquer.com has free C&C games. All are compressed in rar so you'll need Winrar or something similar.

That looks kinda cool. The things not in it:

* a large, seamless world to explore

* quest givers

* open world PvP or PvE

* elves

I can live without the last three. I'm a big fan of exploration, though (as long as it's interesting). I'll look into it once it's released.

I'm guessing you're talking about The Old Republic, not Global Agenda correct?

Nope that was Global Agenda. Taken from their website.

GAH! That's what I meant -.- Not on top of it today.

I've been interested in BF2 as a new (lol new) game lately. Does anyone know if people still play it?

As with most popular games there's always the hardcore few who stick around.

True. I just don't want to buy it then nobody is playing. :)

And I don't the Star Trek Online is my kind of game. -.- I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Actually, I used it about 2 days ago. It's up there because, yes, it's out of the way when I don't need it. I mostly use it for Flight Simulator X and, on occasion, Freespace Open. I have more titles I have used the stick for, but I've not played them in a long time. I bought it to replace a Logitech Wingman Force 3D; the WF3D didn't have enough buttons and control sensors were erratic, as well as needing a power adapter for the "spring". I miss the force feedback, but I've not seen any NT6.0 or NT6.1 drivers that make it work properly, so it became a moot point. I still have that old stick, but I use the Extreme 3D Pro now-a-days.

Oh and @BF2; I found multiplayer to be a huge disappointment when I tried it again a few month ago. Everyone's moved up to ridiculous ranks (seen any servers with 60% of the people as some sort of General?) so, as a new account, you're missing out on a lot of the better weapons and are playing people much more experienced. Plus, flying the jets or helicopters requires keyboards last I checked, and are totally arcade style.

... You guys are making me feel really upset. The only one I can laugh at is red :)

My epic (epic) setup:

HP HDX16T

Intel Core 2 Duo (Centrino 2 Duo) T6600 @ 2.20GHz (Can't overclock F****ing H2Bios -.-)

4GB DDR2 RAM @ 800MHz

NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT... Okay I guess...

320GB 7200RPM HDD

I think the best part about this thing is the case, it is one of the best laptop cases I've ever seen, except it is REALLY fingerprint prone...

Well, it is pretty decent I guess. Crysis Demo CPU and GPU benchmarks get me 17FPS on Medium settings :) :P

Hopefully, I'll be able to get a kickass rig when I head off to college, along with a netbook for classes (lulz).

If I can find that dang digital camera, I'll post a picture...

Tried to play TF2 at lowest resolution and lowest settings possible. What happened was a mess that looked like a slideshow running lower than 5 fps.

Yea idk why tf2 runs so much slower than HL2. It's a cartoon game. -.-

Cell shading requires additional resources. Adding filters slows stuff down significantly. It's a cartoon game, yes, but that cartoon effect is what slows it. It's honestly not that bad of a slowdown, either.

You tell that to my computer that stars freaking out as soon as you want to something as complicated as firing your gun :) I should film it for the lols.

Anyone play Combat Arms? Oh man I put a lot of hours into that game. Only gripe with it (other than the hackers and lack of mod controls and stuff [this was like a few months ago so idk if it's changed]) was that you couldn't put the character details on low! I don't understand why, really. The environments would never slow me down, but whenever I had more than 8 players on screen (all set on high detail forcibly) I would have crazy slow down.

Anyone have it installed know if you can set them to low? If so I'd probably redownload it.
