Just got out of a fun match of Age of Empires II with some of my friends. 3 Hours long, did pretty well for my first time playing in ages.

Borrowed Dragon Age: Origins from a friend of mine. Lets see how that goes. Hopefully my laptop will be able to run it just fine.

What graphics card does it have? An Intel gma3100 will still be able to play it at lower resolution.

A NVIDIA GeForce G 103M, 512mb of VRAM.

Should be fine on the lower settings. It's a HP laptop though and I've heard they tend to have some problems with cooling though.

I think you should be fine. Even on lowest settings the game still looks great.

Have fun. :)

On lowest it looks great? I assume lowest is equivalent to/equal to the Xbox version, and that one looks terrible. D:

We might have different expectations.

I play every game on lowest, so it looked better than say...CoD4 on lowest. :)

It really depends. I've gotten really used to playing at low frames and yea I die a lotbut I always end up around top 5 on my team.

Then the people you play with/against are either:

A) Crap

or

B) Quit the server.

If you go onto well known and fun TF2 servers, you ain't gonna be in the top 5 unless you are pretty damn good. Also, any server with DICEroll Mod = win.

Also has anyone played the Public Beta of R.U.S.E on Steam yet? It's an RTS and it's all about outsmarting and bluffing your opponents. It's absolutely great.

I understand that's suppose to be the big hook, but you could say the same about any rts with Fog of War (the amount of distance that your units can see).

Another Aoe2 player? Didn't know they existed besides me anymore  What's your favorite civilization? I like the British for their archers and Japanese for bombard towers and the samurai.

Websites confuse my graphics cards for having 2GB Video RAM and 3.0 Shaders , while in reality, I can't run L4D with shaders on high.

Integrated graphics card? Mine's like that too with the memory. Your card has 3.0 shaders, it's just not fast enough to process them.

My friend just gifted me Saints Row 2 on steam. I didn't know people did that.

Yea! Probably can't run the game but I have it there for later.

Orzammar was really boring to me it was just far too long.

Oh yea the Deep Roads were kinda annoying and going back and forth talking about the government or whatever was boring.

About the Steam Mac update, does anyone know how TF2 will run on a normal macbook? I've seen my friends play it on BootCamp, and they had to put it on the lowest settings, but I don't know if the update changed anything.

What model macbook? Like the newest ones?

Click the Apple logo (top left corner) > about this system (I think) > copy/paste your system info.

Any way to make them fast enough?

Not that I'm aware of. I know if you have an intel gma950 (found in netbooks) you can download gmabooster which will pretty much overclock it. Other than that I don't think you can really.

Wondering if anyone here has played Hearts of Iron 3, I'm looking at getting it when I get a laptop.

Never heard of it. What's it about?

Playing Knights Of The Old Republic. This is one of my favorite games ever. Runs great on highest settings on Windows 7 and GMA 4500.

World War II strategy game, where you "take control of almost any nation that existed or even plausibly could have existed during the period of 1936–1948, guiding it through World War II. A variety of decisions regarding the armed forces, production, research, diplomacy, politics and espionage is the focus of the game."

I kinda like that sort of game (ever since Rome: Total War)
