Aquarium (Construction Add-on)

Twist of Fate

Recommended Posts

Making this update because I love construction and all that. Also note that due to this new room, the max amount of rooms should be changed to add 1. I think the max is 32 now right? So with this update, it would be 33. I think all I really need is to make an HTML table of all the hotspots and materials required.

Original guide: http://runescape.sal...nstruction.html

Aquariums

The aquarium, a double-floor room, allows you to collect exotic fish from all over the world of Runescape! It can be decorated and accessorized to your liking, and even upgraded to catch and cook new fish. Level 63 Construction and 200,000gp are required to build this room, and level 20 in Fishing is the lowest level required to start catching fish. This room must be built on the ground floor. The ground floor is the wet aquarium while the top floor is the dry portion.

While fishing any type of fish that requires level 20 Fishing or above, you have the chance of receiving a golden fish egg of whatever you were attempting to catch. If you use this egg on the bathysphere, it will introduce that type of fish to the aquarium. Each fish egg can be collected once, unless you reset the aquarium.

Top Floor

The Prawnbroker is one of the various hotspots in the top floor. This will help you unlock new rewards and abilities, and help you control aquarium settings. The bathysphere, automatically added, allows you to actually add the fish, customize the appearance, and dive into the aquarium. You will need to have a diving suit built. After this, click on your bathysphere and drop down for a visit.

Prawn Rewards, such as Prawn balls, are obtained while fishing and may even increase your chances of receiving a golden fish egg. They also help to upgrade and decorate your aquarium. If you choose to reset your aquarium, you will not reset your unlocked rewards.

Furniture

I have the code for the table. Let me know if this works because if not it'll have to be done over.

Hotspots:

  • Pawnbroker
  • Fish-head
  • Diving suit
  • Supply
  • Centerpiece

Bottom Floor

The bottom floor works differently. This is the actual aquarium which is edited and accessed by the bathysphere. Instead of stationary hotspots, this part uses a grid layout that allows you to place various decorations wherever you choose. Harvesting nodes gather resources such as kelp from seaweed and kelp plants, pearls from oysters, planks from mermaid's purse decorations, and even elite clue scrolls from treasure chests. Large decorative cosmetic items will aid you in fishing activities across Runescape. Smaller decorations are simply cosmetic, including the cannons, coral, and anchors.

Many of these small decorations are obtained through fishing or Prawn balls. You can place them in your bathysphere inventory by using them on the bathysphere. They will then be available to place in your aquarium whenever you choose. Plugs will reset your aquarium if you'd like to start over after collecting all of the fish. You may upgrade your plug twice, but each upgrade will only be available after you've obtained all fish and reset it after each time.

The fish that may be caught to obtain a golden fish egg are as follows:

  • Cavefish
  • Lava Eel
  • Leaping Salmon
  • Leaping Sturgeon
  • Leaping Trout
  • Lobster
  • Monkfish
  • Rainbow Fish
  • Rocktail
  • Salmon
  • Shark
  • Swordfish
  • Trout
  • Tuna

A lot to talk about for aquariums, good luck.

Yeah there is for sure, but I think I'm only going to write this guide in the same format as other Player-Owned house rooms, keep it brief, and whatever the player needs to know to get started.

Thanks for writing this guide. If there's anything I can help with let me know, I've been wanting to check out the aquariums.

As for the table code I don't think it's usable the way it is, but it's not massively different so I can make modifications to make it work hopefully. Thanks for that. ^_^

You got it, man!

Also as I stated before I kinda wanted to keep this as a really general construction add-on guide so nothing too huge or specific. BUT if there's anything you all would think I should add to this, let me know so we can get this up and running. Thank you
