Shn Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 So I logged on for the first time in a few months, had a red partyhat and sold it for when it was 1.65b. Now its 2.7b??? What happened to decrease the value of coins in the game? Where is all the money coming from? Quote
Chaoss Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Basically, there hasn't been an effective money-sink in years, and therefore the gp has been piling up higher and higher. Used to take me weeks to make 1m gp. Now it takes maybe 30 minutes. Quote
-Leaf- Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Yeah if I had bought a white when I quit instead of stupidly trying to buy a blue through GE, I'd be up at least 1 bil. Santas on the other hand haven't really risen in years. Quote
Sobend Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 The PvP world statuettes from 2009-2011 which brought a lot of GP into the game are the main culprit for the inflation, but there are other things as well. Quote
Egghebrecht Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 the majority of players is very high level which means that they don't sink money in construction and summoning anymore and by current standards the cash needed to buy the needed non player made supplies (planks, magic stones, shards, ...) for it isn't all that much anymore death hasn't made you lose anything for years and in PVP it only moves to another player anyway so yeah no real active moneysink and a constant influx of of new money Quote
Micael Fatia Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) The death of (RS3) F2P clanning caused the loss of another money sink too, even with the countless looters hundreds of Rune sets would still get removed from the game every two days or so. There is no use for Rune now meaning there is no demand so all pieces get alched, which means more gp entering the game. It's kinda sad I'll never get that red party hat I've always wanted. :( At least I have one on OSRS, worthless but better than nothing. :P Edited July 13, 2015 by Micael Fatia Quote
