The Darkest
Been a while since I played the game, but was thinking back to all the quests I ever did during RS. Three stand out: Underground Pass for being so insanely epic, Darkness of Hallowvale for being really unique and cool, and Monkey Madness for being just plain fun. What was everyone else's favorite RS quests, and why?
Sobend
Underground Pass is definitely my favorite. A deeply unsettling feeling throughout the whole quest and it has all sorts of symbolism and everything. Also, it was originally done in RSC which was something of a technical feat. It's also part of my favorite storyline even though Underground Pass has nothing to do with the mourners. Others: While Guthix Sleeps. After that is my favorite RS3 quest Lord of Vampyrium. Very dark and basically the climax of the myreque questline; the final quest in that storyline is basically resolution.
Guitarguy
Monkey Madness was pretty dope, especially in the days when you'd find yourself incidentally doing a quest alongside other people who are struggling on the same parts.
Fabio
While Guthix Sleeps for sure, iconic quest!
Yuanrang
I actually like RuneScape quests, mostly because they were actually well-made, funny and quite diverse. Some of my favourites were "A Recipe for Disaster", "While Guthix Sleeps" and "Mourning's End part 2", but thinking about it... there were many more that I either found funny, challenging or just rewarding. Hell, even something simple like Dragon Slayer was quite memorable, since it was very hyped up for lowbies, being able to finally wear a Rune Platebody and all that. Same goes with the Legend's Quest, and so forth.
Fatalysm
I think the elemental workshop quests are interesting, a little boring with the amount you have to complete and the puzzles are out of my league, but certainly interesting. The Gower Quest was quite sweet and funny in my opinion. But that's just coming from a nostalgia perspective. The Myreque storyline has been amazing so far and i'm looking forward to Lord of Vampyrium. I just wish they did more to build up Burgh De Rott. Kennith's Concern and The Slug Menace was quite good, probably not stand out quests, but fun. For me, a lot of the quests I seem to go for are all the places I never really explored when I was playing before. So when I get to explore Morytania, Kharidian Desert, Void Knights Outpost, Feldip Hills, Tree Gnome Stronghold. I've been to all these places I never explored before and it's just interesting getting a new experience.
Chaoss
No doubt about it, While Guthix Sleeps was my favorite quest in all. The Majarrat and Penguin quest lines were probably my favorite in all. 2 other favorites: Royal Trouble and Throne of Miscellania.
Avril K
Always the ones that make me laugh. I did the one recently with the cabbages and going behind the scenes and I died laughing most of the way through it. Also, I've always been a fan of the mourner quest series. Slightly off-topic, but while I hated the quest Broken Home (so much hate for that quest), I give Jagex some serious props for its execution--except for the demon, which was a little cheesy, the quest was sufficiently creepy if you had the sound turned on, and I was on pins and needles through the thing. Very horror-esque. djpailo
Dragon slayer in RSC and Underground pass.
DonAlSmokey
Lunar diplomacy really gets you thinking. There's also a cool way for ironman to obtain payments for fruit trees by collecting apples from barrels aboard the haunted pirate ship.
Leo
Mine would probably be the Dorgeshuun or Mourning/Elf City series.
Sajoh
The Abyss Miniquest, I like the idea that the Zamorak followers managed to get hold of those runecrafting secrets. I lack experience with quests. Edited July 19, 2021 by Sajoh
