This used to be one of my go-to places for RS3 help, but sadly, Salmoneus seems to have abandoned the place after the Back to the Freezer guide came out, and it is now - regretfully - completely dead... I will keep my account, but, truthfully, I don't expect to ever use it again. I mainly use Rune H.Q and the Jagex-approved R.S Wiki now, as the Fandom-run RS Wiki is as dead as this site, and has been since roughly 2019... Anyway, this is Noble K bidding Sal's Realm a fond farewell, and wishing things didn't have to end the way they did... Quote

In all truth, using the site can be pretty hard because the games have updated a fair bit since. Even back when I was questing and adding updates, so much information had changed. Oh yeah, you need a thriving userbase just to even have a Wiki up and running with frequent updates. A site, with guides, tips and tricks, would naturally fall behind a Wiki unless you have a very high userbase able to test everything properly. There is a reason why guides often took time to write, or required a dedicated crew of people to get everything done. Back in the IRC days, we were about 5-20 people regularily running around, doing certain pieces of a guide. Like, one would take pictures, one would do the writing, one would come up with solutions to puzzles and such, and it flowed pretty organically. It was what made update days so fun, because it was like the hive was stirring with energy and motivation. Quote

I still write walkthroughs for games (and still play RuneScape, I'm sorry to say) and I'm not sure I would've ever appreciated the art of Explaining How To Do A Video Game without community quest guides. Instead of trying to compete with the wiki and all these other places it's compiling all the data and giving you the best way to level and quest. The site is directed more towards players who understand the game but need answers to their questions without having to research 3 different sites or trawl through the wiki to get what they want. It's only just beginning, I haven't even finished the agility page, but you can see kind of what i'm going for here. @Sobend @Yuanrang, I hope this link is okay, happy to remove it if not. I have only been focusing on Old School at the moment. Quote
