Skills

Skills are the various abilities that can be developed by players during their adventures in RuneScape. There are currently 25 different skills in RuneScape - 9 of which are exclusive to members - each with their own unique set of actions. Every skill can be advanced to a higher level with training, which will open up new abilities related to that skill. Training involves performing an action using a skill, such as catching fish, growing crops, casting spells, and making metal armour. When a player earns enough experience in a skill players will see fireworks explode around them and a musical tune will play, signifying a level-up has occurred.

Experience Requirements

A specific number of experience points (aka "XP") is required to advance a skill to the next level. The below table demonstrates the amount of experience necessary to reach any given level, up to level 120 (the maximum level of Dungeoneering). As you can see, the amount of experience required for each consequent level increases by about 10%.
